Ugh I'm having this problem right now. My husband gave me $1000 to spend with the rule being I have to buy something ridiculous that I normally wouldn't. He thought louboutins but I'm having an impossible time doing so. I'm really good at spending money and shopping. I've probably spent that in the last two months on shoes, bags, clothes...oh yeah I definitely did. But that was the sum total for a lot of things. I live in wi. How much wear will I get out of a pair on louboutins before styles change or why carry a $1k bag when no one here knows what it is anyway.

Buy the bag for yourself not because anyone knows what it is silly. Buying a bag is not for impressing others. unless your husband has a gun to your head than don't buy anything, save it. If your husband is so into getting you a "ridiculous" gift have him pick it out than. Problem solved ;)

I felt really bad when I bought my first $1000+ bag. But I have a job, pay off all my credit cards and have a savings so it's ok. After I thought through it, I feel I deserve it, especially when I didn't buy a bag all year AND the bag I got was on sale and it's the last one.

I'm lusting over a Louis Vuitton Mon Monogram NF. I have yet to spend over $900 on a bag and when I remember that the 46" plasma tv I just bought costs much less than my speedy 25, it makes me feel guilty and a bit insane. But this bag would probably be my only LV shoulder bag since I've bought and returned so many LV shoulder bags because they weren't the right fit. I'm trying to convince myself that if this is a bag I'll be carrying 5-10 years from now it's totally worth it.

I sometimes feel guilty, and it is usually when I have made an impulse purchase. When I spend time thinking about a bag for a long while and make sure that 1) I really want it and 2) It will really work with my wardrobe and bag style preferences, I don't feel guilty.

Hi ladies I'm new to this forum and I am loving it. Yes, sometimes I won't use my new bag because I feel guilty or even scared I will damage it or the quality won't last as long as it should then the guilt really adds up! I try not to but I envy the ladies who just buy a new bag and movie right in, no guilt, no nothing!

i got a new to me cerise compact wallet(2005 so it's 6 years old) and a 1999(13 years) st cloud which i just need to replace the pockets or not use them. only lv could have a product you would want after so long and still have the price go up and be usable and even envied.

I'd say if you can afford it, why not. I do think there must be cases where we can get these bags cheaper though! I have been looking for somewhere to buy reduced designer bags. I'm not sure about flash sales because I always miss them but if anyone knows any good website for bargain designer bags and clothing please let me know! Second hand would be okay if condition was good and authenticity approved.
