Do you ever wish you had spent your money on jewelry instead of bags?

ITA! I'm in the same situation and am finding that now that i'm no longer in school that I have more opportunities to wear jewelry. And I love the fact that I am able to wear my jewelry all the time, I still love nice handbags of course but I'm getting more wear with my jewelry! :woohoo:

I would love more bags. I have 1 chanel, 1 escada, 1 Gucci and 1 Dior. I'd love love love to have a Bottega but the jewels won out. They are going to have to wrench my beautiful jewels from my cold, hard, dead body.:wlae:

I am actually the opposite, I have lots of jewelry that I never use and I wish I could buy bags instead. I know the re-sale value of jewelry will be much less than the original price, so I am keeping it...

NEVER! Personally, bags are like jewery in terms of personal adornment. Initially I thought of spending my $$$ on jewelry but usually some wiser older lady would talk me out of it. So glad I listened too. But that's that just me.

Nope...not really into jewelry and I never wear a watch

My basic every day wear in jewelry is a pair of costume earrings and my wedding rings. Except for some pearls and Tiffany silver pieces that my husband got me as gifts, most everything else is costume that I may occasionally pull out to go out and that good enough for me. I may get the wedding set upgraded one day or a nice pair of earrings (not necessarily diamonds) but beyond that I prefer, enjoy and get more use out of bags.

for me, not necessarily jewelry (because i love what i have), but i could have traveled to and from europe, stayed at a 5-star hotel for probably a month on what i spent on designer bags. sick, sick, sick!!!:sick::sick:

or, had a sweet down payment on a very expensive home. ;)

is it too greedy for me to say that i would like to buy BOTH?! for me, bags and jewelry hits different parts of my psyche though they both hit my wallet hard. both things are worn on different parts of the body...that's how i rationalize it :)

Yes, I do :( I'd rather have a sweet 1-carat OEC diamond ring than the 9 Balenciagas that have been languishing away in my closet! Hindsight is 20/20. I went through a 1.5-year CRAZE for Bal bags...I'm glad I got it out of my system, though.

No, but I don't overspend or spend impulsively on bags. I have beautiful jewellery that has been carefully and thoughtfully accumulated over time and the same is true for my bags - it's well balanced and everything gets plenty of use.

No, 'cos I inherited a lot of jewellry from my grandparents (indian side) so I have too much of that, so I can spend on my other loves...the jewellry will then be passed on to my daughter who hopefully will pass it on. And we also got a lot of gold when we got married...tradition, I guess.

Well I'm a guy and I don't know if that makes a difference. A lot of women feel very strongly about their bags.

I splurged on a Louis Vuitton charcoal damier canvas bifold wallet for $395 plus tax and I wish I'd bought something from the Frank Gehry Tiffany collection.

I feel that bags can provide more bang for the buck, more punch in a woman's outfit, but I really do care about metallurgy more than leathercrafting.

I am glad to find out my love of jewelry over leather before things got out of hand though. In that way the wallet was totally worth it!
