Do you carry your bag on the left or right side?

Which side do you prefer most?

  • Left

  • Right

  • Either side don't matter. I'm comfortable and switch between both.

  • It depends on where I wear it, like my arm, shoulder, hand, etc. Combo of both.

My husband is 'old school' and always wants to walk on the street side and also likes to hold my hand. So every time we cross the street he moves to the other side of me so he is on the street side and I move my bag so he can hold my hand (I almost always carry hand held bags).

I can imagine what people think when they see us - under 30 (Ewww, old people holding hands), 30-40 (aren't they cute, I hope we're like that when we are old), 50-60 (why can't you be like him, bozo!)

I've noticed I switch when I'm alone too and I thought about it and decided I was afraid of bicycle purse snatchers!

I am a lefty... I write with my left hand I eat with my left hand I reach for something with my left hand...but I play sports righty..and after seeing this thread I realized I wear my bags on my right shoulder or right hand

I put my speedy on my left arm and will then also carry it in my right hand. I don't know how that habit formed, except that my right hand is usually free to keep the rest of my life under control. Maybe I hold it in my right hand because I could use it as a weapon of war if anyone true to throw it down unexpectedly. Haha! Who knows.

I'm under thirty and still love me some hand holding - at any age! :) I hope that holding hands and taking care of each other never becomes old school. I don't think it can.

I'm right handed so on the right side. That's super cute Tiggycat.. my parents are older and when they are walking down the street or go out they always hold hands. :D I think holding hands is sweet. And its a sign of love & respect for one another.

Im a rightie, but carry my tote on my left shoulder. I just asked my hubby what shoulder I carry my bag on, and Im so proud of him. He said my left and also said why, lol. He said I do this so I can open my bag with my left hand and reach in with my right to get what Im lookin for.
Its nice to know that after 8 yrs, he is still so attentive :)))
