Do you carry your bag on the left or right side?

Which side do you prefer most?

  • Left

  • Right

  • Either side don't matter. I'm comfortable and switch between both.

  • It depends on where I wear it, like my arm, shoulder, hand, etc. Combo of both.

right & right. i can't stand carrying a bag on my left shoulder, yet i always carry handbags on my left forearm if they don't have a long enough drop to wear on my shoulder.

I am right-handed, although I think that was forced on me when I was young, as I tend to be left-eye dominant and left foot dominant. But anyway, I almost always carry a shoulder bag on the left shoulder or a hand-held bag on the left arm.

Ok so far 50% of respondents voted right shoulder right-handed. Since most handbags/purses/totes are made with zippers that open from left to right (i.e. when you're facing the front of the bag), then wearing such a bag on your right shoulder means you have to stretch your arm to the back to open the bag while wearing it. How do you manage that, as I don't have eyes behind me, can't see what I'm digging for.

For those of you who have bags with zippers running right to left, or with double zipper tabs, what brands may they be?
As far as I know, Kipling makes their zippers right to left, but I'm not really into their designs much.

I usually carry on my left arm/shoulder, but am right handed. Of course I do switch back and forth, and I carry my really heavy skate bag on my right shoulder

I'm right handed and keep my bag on my right shoulder. If I try to put a bag on my left shoudler it just falls off, I can't keep it there lol. My friend said I was strange for the whole right hand/right shoulder thing as she's right handed and likes to have it on her left shoulder so she can reach in and get things out using her right hand.

I'm right handed, but always carry my bag on the left side, whether it is a shoulder bag, satchel, whatever. It is easier for me to get into the bag and my right hand is free.
