Food Do people still wear aprons?

I definitely do! And when I don't, I always regret it. Too many spills and splashes!
Agree 100%!!! Why do I always think it is ok to stir spaghetti sauce while wearing a white shirt and being too lazy to pop my apron on first????? Or fry an egg that I KNOW will pop oil after putting on my shirt for work?????

I also sew and like to make aprons!

after work last night i was so hungry when i returned home so i made some quick noodles without changing my work attire, the soup was boiling harsh and splashed on my silk blouse. total write off. so i am going to buy an apron but actually should never wear nice clothes cooking.

Hi!

Depends on the "setting".

On normal days, I have already switched into "home clothes" when I cook. No apron.

With people over for dinner/lunch. I will have done everything that can be prepared/ made in advance in my "home clothes", then change clothes, then I wear an apron for the "up to the minute" stuff.

Cooking with friends, I wear an apron.

During festivities, before going out, (...) I mostly wear an apron if I have to get something done in the kitchen before.

Kind regards,
Oliver
