Do people go to LV, then Chanel and then Hermes?

You ladies r just amazing!!! I just celebrated my 40th birthday but alas without a tattoo! Too chicken of needles [emoji16][emoji16]...but have to agree with age comes new found confidence and looking back I have seen how my style and preferences have evolved and I wouldn't change a thing about them in the past either!

Ketaki, I agree! This thread is a mine of info for any brand listening in. As a professor of marketing this is amazing stuff for me too!

Oh wow! Professor of marketing! Impressive. :)

I'm very terrified of needles too but it really wasn't that bad btw.

Hahaha! No complaints [emoji4]... Maybe a tattoo for my 50th in another 10 yrs[emoji6]... And oh yes I have been eyeing the Kelly too along with birkin. But like u I go thru my brand obsession so I have to get couple more bags from chanel and then I am done done done with chanel and move on to Hermes completely or maybe Hermes bag prices will be so insane by then that I won't venture in that direction!!! Till then it's Hermes accessories and chanel bags for me[emoji173]️

Not me. My first bag is a Chanel Flap bag (Seasonal patent leather)
I owned this patent flap bag and leather CF when I was in high school)
(many yrs ago so they are way cheaper than now.. the current price is ridiculous..)
But I sold them after few years.
After sold them all, I've started to buy non-brand leather bags from Korea.

Last year, I started to buy designer bags again!
I bought Givenchy & Fendi's bag..
They are gorgeous with nice price tag & quality.
I really Love FENDI now, not so interested in other brands..

I don't think I will buy Chanel again due to the ridiculous price tag & popularity.
Girls in Hong Kong are rich! When I'm walking on street for 10 minutes, I could see 10+ Chanel..
They are nice but not appeal to me anymore.. I don't know why!

Finally, I hope I will get a elegant Kelly when I'm 30s...

Yes started on LV, recently gone Chanel... but vowed and declared no to Hermes... I might as well handover the keys to the house in that case...... Yes I like the clean lines of Hermes, but hell no to the prices....

Interesting... I started with one LV. Went to Chanel next and bought 5. Then I bought 2 Gucci's and 2 Diors. Now I'm back to LV again. I think Hermes is lovely but not for me. I just buy what I love and what appeals to me at the time. Right now I really love LV.
+ 1!

I am also not really into Hermes and only own a SLG from them. I have bags from LV, Chanel, Prada, Balenciaga, Saint Laurent, Mulberry, Gucci etc and love the variety! Why should I limit myself to only one or two brands?

Hahaha, you are right! As much as I love bags, I would not spend 10,000 Euros on a Birkin etc. Hermes prices are just crazy!

Love this thread! It's so fun to see how people's preferences evolve. Personally, I started with Mulberry, Proenza, and Chloe. Then I ventured into Celine and Chanel. Recently I'm just entering the phase of Hermes. I tend to get very extreme with one or two brands only. When I'm obsessed with a new brand, I'd sell all the bags of the other brands. It's a bit OCD I think. I wish I had skipped the former stages and saved up for Hermes from the very beginning. I would have owned a couple of K or B now, lol. When I decide I'm over with something, I'd like to move on and not looking back. My bag collecting history is just like my love journey! [emoji39]

That made me smile - "my bag collection history is just like my love life journey." Sounds like me!
