Do people go to LV, then Chanel and then Hermes?

I started with DKNY-D&G-Burberry-Gucci-LV-Mulberry-Chanel (started as a student, now a working new mom). Dabbled with Hermes in accessories only, and still debating whether I really want a bag of theirs. And in that case, I'd only consider Evelyne as it actually would suit a need I have. I don't actually like their other models, only Kelly but I can't justify the price unless I win the lottery.
I'm getting close to owning the Chanel models I want, and I decided that in the meantime I'm going to collect other brands like Dior, Balenciaga etc. to diversify my collection. So I think yes and no, I follow a route but I do still have my limits.

For me the buying started about 10yrs ago with mulberry [emoji654]️ miu miu[emoji654]️anya hindmarch [emoji654]️chanel. So I skipped LV, don't see myself going there. I don't like hermes much either. Maybe a Lindy in several years time if no one plays mind games with me. At present though I covet nothing and that feels good :)

Interesting. I went from one piece from Coach, two pieces of Gucci, went into LV, then into Prada then Chanel (5 bags) and then back into LV. The only piece I want from Hermes is the Kelly. Don't think I'll go back to Chanel but definitely LV!

No.
I have one LV (own mostly Bals with a few other premier designers thrown in) and I can't stand Chanel bags.
Each time I see someone using it, which is often here, it just re-confirms my aversion to Chanel.

I dislike Hermes bags as well. The Birkin and Kelly are too structured and boxy for me. I just don't like them when I see them on people. The rest of the bags I've seen just don't make me go "wow".

The one exception is Evelyne. But the H on the bag puts me off from getting it.

No I started with Chanel, bought and used them for many years and then last year started buying LV which is more suited to my current lifestyle. Hermes doesn't appeal to me.

I would say personally, for me, it would be a yes. It's a balance between my level of patience saving up vs wanting something new so it seems like a natural progression from LV to Chanel to Hermes.

The side where the H is, is the backside of the bag but many people are mistaken.

It's so interesting you say this.

I live near a Hermes Store and saw the bag on display without the H facing outward.
Then a few months later, was there again and this time, the H was on display.

Unfortunately, each time I see someone wearing it, the H is on the front and it turns me off.
Even on their site when they show it worn, the H is on the front.

Not at all. While I have a clear preference for Dior, there's no progression of brands for me. Brands are so diverse these days that I can always find a style that appeals to me or meets my needs. For instance, I love LV canvas for their durability (and hence low maintenance when traveling), but I like Chanel and Hermes clutches much more than LV and even Dior. Even for SLGs I bounce around between brands.

Contrary to what most H lovers think, you are supposed to wear your Evelyne the H side against your body...[emoji6]
