Im looking to purchase a bag on etsy (gray vintage gucci doctor bag) and the seller gave me a serial number that belongs to a separate listing on ebay-- same style bag but in navy, that I also just so happened already saw the listing and am to be waiting to hear back if either one are authentic....I'm a bit skeptical about the one on etsy because the seller messaged me the serial number, as I've been requesting for a picture of the number.....

I have a small Gucci labeled Handbag, I have scoured the web and so far have not found a bag even close to mine, it has the gold stamp on the inside flap but it is wearing off, the tag has been cut out so you can only see a tiny bit of it and it has the number 32 stamped internally. it has an inverted triangle gold colored plate on the front. I have had it for years and so did the previous owner. Is there any way I can find out this bags' value? Thanks.

I found a Gucci bag at a Goodwill for $7 and looking to see if it is authentic or a fake. The letting which are on the front on the bag looks authentic, the lining of the purse has Gucci made on it, but it has no tag inside. Are the earlier bag made like this. Can I pose a pic of the purse on here to view, let me know how to do so.

I own some rare vintage Gucci from the 60's and no they do not have a serial number but they do have a stamp which is recognizable. For the rarest ones I only need a picture inside out to tell you if its the real deal.
To be honest they rarely are for sale on ebay.

I'd say about 800-1000$ for the lot, they might be stiff.
Anyway this is the ongoing value on the european market.
The clothes carrier looks great, I missed it on my first view of your post and its the reason I advise you to ask for 800$ for the lot - 1'000 max.

Hello dear, lovely bag, could sell for about 150 to 300$ depending on where you choose to sell it.
Ebay will mean less value but with a bit of luck ?
Otherwise look into 1stdibs.com for a better idea on vintage prices.
Posting a picture of the inside of the bag and whats left of the tag would help though !

I also have a Gucci bag that looks great and I bought it from a vintage shop in NYC and they said it was real but there is no serial number in it just a gucci gold stamp inside on the leather.

Was curious if you ever found an answer on this because I bought a vintage gucci bag at a flea market quite a few years ago. It has the same gucci gold stamp on the inside of the bag but no serial number. The bag looks very well made but I am skeptical because the inside of the bag does not feel like leather. This is my very first post. I sell vintage bags on eBay...well, I sell many antique items on eBay but I have been selling more vintage designer handbags lately. I usually can tell a fake a mile a way. Every Vintage Gucci I have ever sold has had a serial number. However, today while at an estate sale, I purchased a vintage Gucci Bag. Everything in me says it is a real bag but for the life of me I can't find the serial number. It has all the Hardware & it looks really well made. It has a gucci gold stamp inside on the leather BUT I can't find a serial number.
My question is this. Do ALL vintage Gucci bags have serial numbers, or are there ones that did not have serial numbers?

@Mrs Snotty - I too have a similar bag that I am trying to authenticate. Looks like it was made in the same era out of same materials. (Do you know what the material is??)
