I discovered finger pogs! They are in the first aid section and they look like condoms for your fingers. They help keep the cotton on and keep them close to the nail. Makes removal so easy!!
(I didn't read the whole thread so apologies if someone wrote about these already. )

The soak off was better this time. I used gelish as a base. Filed alot of the top coat off and bought Red carpet mani remover. It just peeled right off. I wonder if my acetone might be losing it's strength. I Do have the large bottle of pure acetone from wally world. It's still bout half full.

Purple Orchid. With flash and without. This is a deep purple with blue and red shimmer. The flash picture picks up the blue more and the red is more obvious in direct sunlight.

I really want to purchase some gelish and RCM colors to use with my sensationail light. I also want to start using gelish foundation and topcoat as I've had gelish done before and loved the results. I purchased the sensationail kit to try out the world of DIY soak of gels. I liked it but now I'm ready to switch to gelish and RCM. I really don't want to purchase a new light if I dont have to. After doing tons of research on this forum I have seen a couple posts mentioning that some of you have had success curing gelish with the sensationail light but I can't find any cure time information. I've also read the SOG beginners post several times. So I have a few questions so hopefully someone can help. First of all can I cure gelish with my light and what are the cure times? Second can I use gelish base and top coat with RCM polish and what would those cure times be as well? After reading some horror stories about possible allergies from undercuring I just want to make sure that I can cure Gelish and RCM properly with my light I already have. Thanks in advance for your help!!

SCORE! A gal at work bout the Sensationail starter kit and the DIY was just too much for her. As she was telling us all about her gel nail mishaps I mentioned that I do mine and joked she should bring me her color polish to add to my collection if she wasn't going to use it. She brought me the entire kit.....light and all! I have a thermal spa uv light and gelish products and random colors but this small light will be great to travel with. Seems like everyone has been able to mix gelish and sensationail products. I know gelish is LED curable but I am trying to confirm that Sensationail is UV curable. I have found people who have used the colors without issue but I am wondering if the base/top coat will be ok in the uv lamp? Any other tips are welcome.

Does anyone know if the Sensational light can be used w/ Gelish mini or RCM? And can the RCM light be used w/ Gelish mini?

I have actually used RCM and Shellac with the Sensationail lamp and it worked I just have to cure for soo long!!! Shellac I have to cure for 2-3 min each layer and RCM I have to cure for almost 5 min. This drives me absolutely crazy because when I dont cure for long enough the RCM always lifts and peels. The best results were obviously with the Sensationail polish, it really dries in 1 min each layer.

I was wondering if anybody knows of a lamp that can cure all those brands for a minute or less? I dont want to have to get a lamp for each nail polish brand...

The Sensationail light is an LED light, so Sensationail is definitely LED curable. Any polish that uses LED can also be cured in UV.

I use the Gelish products with the Sensationail light. The foundation cures for 10-20 sec. The light color polish for 30 sec the dark colors for 45 sec and the top coat for 45 sec. This works fine for me. I have used the all of my brands with the Gelish foundation and top it off. I haven't had a problem yet.

I think I will skip using Sensationail base & top coat. I was doing some swatching this weekend and decided I would use the Sensationail for the swatching to help save on my gelish products. I used a different brush since I was doing some glitter swatching. My brush hardened up to cement and it was impossible to get it clean. I soaked it in acetone for hours and I still haven't managed to get it completely clean. I understand why some are having trouble with soaking this off their nails after seeing this! I did try the primer for my tips since I seem to get a lot of tip wear. We will see how it goes :)

Hi girls, I'm new to SOG's and to this forum and decided to join here because of the information and because you girls seemed more friendly.
I was wondering how all your Nailene Sensationail lamps and products were holding up after all this time. I'm considering getting the starter kit because I want to have the LED lamp, but first would like to know about the durability, functionality, and quality of this product (lamp and polish).
Another thing I'm curious about is, do the colors cure in a 36w UV lamp?
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my post :smile1:

Hi ladies! I'm new to the nail care board (had to get away from spending so much $$ on bags ;) ).

I recently got the Sensationail kit, and because of the limited colors, ended up buying some OPI gelcolor and Gelish colors to use with it. They've been working just fine! None of the sensationail colors were sheer enough for me, as I prefer sheer whitish pinks on my hands, but OPI and Gelish are perfect. I've been able to cure the light colors for 30 seconds under the LED, and they're wearing great.

I did skip the primer after my first two applications - the first time I applied all over and it was a pain to remove. Second time, I applied just to the tips, and it stuck pretty badly there when I soaked off (though the OPI and gelish colors soaked off in around 5-10 minutes and wiped right off, whereas the sensationail colors needed 15-20 and I still had to scrape a bit). This most recent time I didn't use any primer, just the sensational base and topcoat with OPI and gelish layered, followed by sensational base and topcoat. I'll report back about removal once I do it.

Hi, BattahZ! I am thinking of getting this kit myself but was wondering on the quality of the product and if it would be compatible with other brands. I'm very glad to hear that you were able to use OPI and Gelish with the SensatioNail LED lamp.:D

Spotted at Walgreens! So exciting to see these new polishes!
