Ink leather was definitely inconsistent. I had an ink First that had awful veiny leather. I used Lubriderm though on it and it came out GORGEOUS!! If you're willing to use products on your bag, you can really resurrect some of these old colors that might still be lying around at the stores because they didn't have the greatest leather. Sorry you lost your HG!
