Disappointed in empreinte leather

I know exactly what you mean. I went today to the LV Flagship store to purchase my first embossed bag. I have several monogram, DE and DA bags and I felt I needed to move on to all leather. I was so disappointed in the quality of the leather as well as the interior of the bags. My Artsy and Portobello seems to be crafted much better and have a nicer lining. I could not believe that inside of a bag worth $3000 or more had lining like a neverful
I think they gave these bags a lining like the neverfull because the bag is already heavy and the microfiber lining can add weight, even if it is slight. I have the artsy in noir and love the lining. such a contrast and can find my things easily in it (grey interior). My bag is perfect and wonderfully made.
Well, it's not that I'm unhappy. I am happy, but only 95%. I feel like for the money it costs shouldn't I feel 100%? But then again, nothing is perfect so maybe I should just accept the imperfections (even though I wish I didn't have to). I also realize that a chance to find a "better one" are slim to none. In total I looked at 4 noir ones, 3 aurore, 2 dune and 1 cerise. All had something going on. So this one is a gem in a way (lol, not perfect but a gem nonetheless)
So part of me tells me to just live with it. And another part says at least check out one more before you call it quits.
A bag is like a man, none are perfect but you love them anyway!!
I'm so glad you found a bag that you were 100% satisfied with, when spending that kind of money it better be perfect! 
Sometimes I've seen places like Chanel try to sell bags that are asymmetrical, that gets me the most. How is that even allowed?

Hi everyone - hope someone can weigh in. This is Melie number 2 for me. I returned the monogram for fear of cracking. Now this Noir has a LINE in it. It was a escapade to locate this so I’m worried I’ve started a never ending journey.
I’m hoping to return and get a replacement, or store credit and have the main line ship me another one. I’ve already texted my SA who says it’s normal. HELP - am I crazy??? This is currently the most expensive of my 6 bag LV collection.

the line is obviously not “veining” of the leather otherwise it would be elsewhere too on the bag... i think it’s from storage and if they store the bags usually carelessly, then it’s “normal” for their empreinte bags to have creases.. maybe others can chime in if empreinte creases disappear (unlikely IMO) like they do on canvas.. you have to decide,before your return window lapses, if you’re the kind to obsess about it...
Thanks for replying. Determined to return and rid myself of this bag today. Sadly, there is no other bag that interests me as the Melie does. I’m looking for a utility bag, gold hardware, option for cross body and no vacetta. My hubby is looking at me like this stress I’m in is self inflicted due to my obsession with bags...buts that why you’re all here with me now
It would bother me too. Is it on both sides? If it is, then yes probably due to improper storage/shipping. I would worry it would not come out of leather.
Great news everyone (and a few answers)!!
1. The line was not all the way around...it mysteriously stopped near the front
2. Rodeo had a replacement that is MIF!!! The SA there was phenomenal, exchanged without a blink of an eye. Also, the leather was completely different. Checked and yay France baby!
3. I happened to have my pochette metis with me whichever JUST had a pin pop out from the strap. They swapped the strap and gave me a new one. I couldn’t be happier. BEST BEST experience from an LV yet.

After reading lots of this I’ve come to the conclusion that these bags are
like a piece of art. Each bag is made by hand, not manufactured like a coach or Michael Kors! Manufactured bags for the most part are clones of each other.
Louis Vuitton bags are art, like a masterpiece not always perfect but each special! Guess I’ll look different at my montsouris empriente and love it for what it is! Thank you all for showing me the light! I now look at my bag like a special handmade prize! And I will enjoy it fully! No complaints! Each is unique! Thank you wonderful folk for leaning me in the right direction!
