Kallison:

Please take the bag in to your Coach Boutique if you are not satisfied with the repair. That is an expensive bag and you should be happy with it. I am sorry that this happened but Coach needs to get this repair right. If then cannot you should try a place that specializes in Handbag repairs to see if they can help. I used to have my Coach Bags sent in for refurbishing/repair in the late 80's and 90's - they always got it right. I don't know, even though Coach stands behind it's product, Coach does not seem to have the same level of service I used to get before when the Company was owned by Sara Lee. Just my opinion. Good luck!

Kallison, I agree with everyone else. If you aren't happy with it you should take it back to your Coach boutique. Otherwise, it will bother you forever and you'll probably never feel the same about the bag again.

Wildflower, how did they compensate you?
My bag was all leather... on the side of the bag, the leather had a very small "hole" in it where it was stitched -- obviously overlooked somehow and I didn't see it when I bought it.

The first return, they replaced the piece of leather but used the wrong color stitching!

The second return had the right stitching but they also replaced the leather again (never sure why they did that) and not only was it the wrong shade but it was the wrong texture! :push:

I had photos of the original, 1st fix, 2nd fix and I called the company and emailed photos and I was so mad! Boy, was I mad.

Coach ended up refunding my money; I kept the bag; and then to my surprise, a brand new small purse arrived in the mail about a week later!

I took the original bag into a leather repair shop and a few weeks later picked it up and it was absolutely perfect.

i called up cs and they basically told me nothing could be done. it was sorta what i figured: technically, they fixed the problem, so they don't need to do anything else. the lady i talked to basically said i was worrying over something that couldn't been seen anyways (in regards to stained leather)...so, i don't know.

i'll take it into my sa and see what she says. because, as of now, i don't even want to use it...

Awww, Kallison! *Cringes!* Take it to your SA. I bet she won't say the same thing.

Yes, take it to your SA. Plus, who did you talk to in CS? A general phone rep? If so, that may explain the lack of concern. I know how I am and if you are anything like me I'd probably never use the bag again. I know that probably sounds incredibly ridiculous to some people but that's the way I am. :shrugs:

Keep us posted!

It's not ridiculous at all! I'm the same way.

I'm the same way, too.

Katherine, maybe call CS and ask for a supervisor. I'm pretty sure I was upgraded a couple of times -- and I was fightin' mad at the time, too.:boxing: I ended up getting the NICEST person! My repair was a bit different in that it was quite obvious as to the imcompetence of BOTH repairs, but I had to argue with them when I first called.

Mokoni is right. Sometimes you've gotta fight your way through to the higher-ups to get someone who cares-- general phone reps either really love their job or don't care and if you get one that doesn't care she won't help you. I hate CS reps like that, they make me mad! :cursing: Good Luck!

yeah, she seemed real freaking thrilled to be there, taking my call.

yes, i'm just like you...i probably won't ever use the bag again. if nothing else, the turnlock has GOT to be changed. i actually use the pockets quite a bit- so having a lock that comes undone is not good!

My black shoulder bag is still in for repair - the leather zipper pull came apart. I don't understand why it takes so long to fix what essentially is ONE stitch. I hope when it comes back there isn't glue all over my bag....heck that is probably why they have be "working on it" since some time in March - they are trying to get the glue off of it!

The bag broke shortly after you bought it. They replaced the turnlock with a different lock, which essentially makes it a different bag. You would not have purchsed the bag with a different turnlock.

That, along with them doing additional harm to the bag (the stain), means that you should either get it fixed so that it is the same bag you bought, or get a refund. I wouldn't stop at repairs or an SA. I'd go higher if I had to, and I think you should, too.

Right on HauteMama! kallison, your bag is too gorgeous to not use! But I know how you feel. Once something has lost that "magical charm", it just doesn't feel right anymore.

:shame: FedEx came today - with my shoulderbag. Sorry Coach repair for talking smack about you.....
