@880, I don’t have any Dior skirt. I bought a dress from this sale. Thanks @pigleto972001 for the sizing. I got one size up. Usually 40 but I got one 42 this time. It fits a bit loose but no need to get alternation but the white lining is too big. Will the boutique alter it for free?
How do Dior sales work? I was just in the boutique earlier this week and there was nothing in the RTW or shoes that were on sale. Granted, this boutique is almost brand new - it just opened 6 weeks ago.

I usual get the sale news from my SA. I don’t go to the boutique though. I know there is no sale online. @880 will have more info. She usually has firsthand sale information.

Thanks for the tag, but all I know is that the SAs are not allowed to mention sale to customers or walk ins until the sale goes public. I believe the same is true for chanel. Perhaps due to scarcity of merchandise and what seems like corporate policy of premier luxury these days: sale being a perk reserved for regular clients of the house. It’s been my experience recently that items aren’t even marked sale. one has to have an SA guide you through and check prices and sometimes sizes on their iPad. Presumably once the sale goes public, that changes.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. I did ping my “SA” (in quotes because brand new boutique and I’ve only purchased a scarf from her, so not sure how far that will get me).
If anyone has an US-based SA (Hawaii especially, since I’d love to establish that connection for when I move in a few weeks) that has sale dresses or skirts, would love to make that contact.

Considering a first bar jacket. Wear a lot of black and dislike mismatched blacks. Sizing is off but houndstooth vs classic black?

Houndstooth, assuming tailoring can make suitable adjustments. The mismatched solid "black is obvious. (I prefer to buy matching pieces at the same time if I want the same dye lot). And this kind of discrepency is why I often would rather pair navy and black which is a deliberate combo.I also think the houndstooth shows off the bar details well, and it is a bit more special, while still very versatile ( goes with gray, taupe, denim, white, navy etc)
