Agree with @periogirl28 re size variations. I have found outerwear to run a bit large and classic bar jackets a bit small. I have a thicker waist for my size, and sometimes have to let out or size up
BTW, Dior is an LVMH company.

@periogirl28 , I love your entire outfit, and of course your fabulous bag too
Ahh…nuff said. Thank you for chiming in! My purchases will definitely be in person then!

Do t shirts run small or are they true to size?

IMO, the classic ones, like We should all be feminists or j’adior run true to size or even larger
However, some of the seasonal ones, like the one with a cute tote, this season, looked smaller
I have a medium sized bust, a broad shoulder, and a thick waist, and am a 38-40 dior.
A medium t shirt runs large on me.

@xiaoxiao , congrats on dropping a size! You esp. look spectacular,
but you always do! Happy new year!

Hello ladies, first time posting in this thread! I need your advice. After many years dreaming with the Bar jacket, I was finally decided to buy it. My local boutique never had my size in stock, but it happened to have one available this time so everything looked like a dream. But I went yesterday and tried it on… and I found out that I couldn’t close it …!
The SA was very kind and told me that one should be able to close it. I tried a size up, it closed tight but the shoulders were just off.

I wonder if it’s OK to have the Bar jacket and not be able to close it, or if I should pass and admit that the Bar is not for my body shape (I’m petite, not big breasts but yep, a 90C so bigger than what Monsieur Dior designed for unfortunately…). What should I do?

When at the boutique, I also tried the classic trench, and oh what a beauty! Same price as the Bar jacket. A forever piece as well… and this one I can close it.

Now I wonder if I should take the Bar jacket anyway and wear it open, or if I should pass and take the trench instead. I would love to have a staple piece that I can wear and enjoy for many years to come.
Thanks in advance for your help! :flowers:

So sorry to hear this! My personal opinion is that you should not get it if you're not able to close it. Even in archival photos, the bar jacket is usually worn (fully) buttoned up. Maybe they can do alterations to the larger size to make it fit better for you? Good luck!

Thank you so much for your advice , the SA said it could be altered by the boutique’s tailor, but they cannot guarantee that it will look exactly as the original design because the Bar jacket is very difficult to make apparently :(

I tried on the trench and it’s absolutely stunning. But I wanted to think about it first and put the question here about the Bar Jacket, just to make sure if it makes sense to forget about it.
