Hello everyone! I searched high and low but couldn't find what I'm searching for. I purchased the Rose Dior Bagatele Ring today after completely falling in love with the entire collection! Here's my question: how has Dior jewelry held up for you (quality wise). The ring is 18k White Gold with diamonds. I asked my SA about it getting rhodium plated but she insisted that there is no rhodium plating on the ring and it is solid white gold. Can anyone tell me how Dior White Gold worked out for them? I'm nervous about the white gold fading - I have a ring (not Dior) that is white gold and rhodium plated and it fades off every 6-12 months, requiring more rhodium.

I wanted to provide an update since purchasing this gorgeous over 3 years ago. It’s not an every day ring, but I have worn it dozens of times and being that is over 3 years now, I think this makes for a valid update..

The ring is impeccable! Just like the day I bought it, and makes my heart skip a beat every single time I slip it on. The detail on the ring is unlike any floral ring design I’ve seen - and I’ve looked at other luxury brands including high jewelry boutiques. Dior did not leave out any detail! The actual band/shank is a vine and includes diamonds as well. The petals as seen in the photo imitate a real rose. Even the leaf is purposely chipped! Various sizes of superior quality diamonds make this ring sparkle like mad- hard to get it to focus for a photo! Best of all, I have had zero issues with the white gold. No fading, no visible scratches or dullness. I wear lotion, perfume, use hand sanitizer frequently especially with Covid, wash with soap with the ring on, all with zero issues. I am providing this review and update here in case it is helpful to anyone, as I often use the search bar to search for items of interest to me prior to purchasing and items such as these (ie Dior’s fine jewelry line) aren’t discussed as much on the internet.

Dior just had an exhibit of loose gems in LA. This weekend it is in NY. The idea is they source these gems and Dior will collaborate with the buyer for a special recommended Dior setting. My Dior budget is primarily focused on RTW. these stones are definitely NOT in my budget, but it’s fun to look (there was a gorgeous opal, eighth pic)
a sapphire I think was 500,000, and a blue green diamond 1.2 M USD

It’s my understanding (anyone pls feel free to correct me if I got it wrong) that Dior finds these gems (the stones are not cut by Dior). Dior is also quite transparent about the stone grading and quality, but the price point can be stratospheric. The design of some of the pieces seems to be a very feminine and whimsical aesthetic; not for everyone, but beautiful in it’s own way. It was also a gorgeous presentation. IMO, these pieces are meant more for very special occasions rather than everyday

I tried on a few pieces from bois de rose (bracelets; plain gold maybe about 6300 USD; diamonds maybe about 31K USD) prices may not be accurate bc I wasn’t really paying attn. I’m sorry. I do remember that the bracelets come in larger sizes so men can wear them too

Two rose de vent double stranded necklaces, one short, one long. Short one maybe 34K USD, (not sure) but Long double necklace is 64K USD. The only price I’m actually sure about is the long double stranded necklace for 64K USD

i don’t know if these are subject to price increases. The jewelry is beautiful, but very expensive, even compared to premier jewlery houses IMO.

i also forgot, I once tried on a bracelet from dior modern collection. Maybe 71K USD? not sure. I have no idea what my SA put on my fingers though.

And months ago I tried on a special watch that looked like a ball gown dancing, perhaps around 34K USD

They are all so pretty!!
I agree that they are pricey but to me the Rose des vents design is very intricate and has a lot of details, more than some popular jewelry from other brands

Went back to dior with my serpenti tubogas to see if the dior bangle stacked (this was my SA and DHs idea, not mine, and no one liked it). Also tried on a bois de rose ? Necklace. Not the most expensive one in all diamonds, this is the middle one, approximately 62K USD. The clasp opens in the front which is interesting. I would like it more if it were black diamonds, and DH would like it more if it were a bit longer. DH, SA, and I did like how the necklace was articulated though. I think dior jewlery is imaginative, beautifully designed and executed, and if it suits one’s style, personality, and price point, then it can be fabulous.
