Lambskin vs Caviar?

I had lamb, loved it but was afraid of my life to carry it because I like my bags to look new forever :rolleyes:, have Jumbo caviar love it, can wear it without worry. I also have distressed calf, love that, no worries either. I do have a lambskin WOC, it's small so I feel safe with that since I'm either wearing tucked under my arm, or in front of me cross body...

I have a checkbook cover in caviar that is 16 yrs old, have carried it with me always and it looks almost new!

:greengrin::smile:
Lambskin = smooth leather with a naturally subtle gloss like sheen, much much more delicate (and much softer) than caviar
Caviar = pebbly calfskin leather, very durable and virtually indestructible!

I saved these details onto my own computer from another thread, (thanks to the original poster for the details! hope u don't mind me posting it here now) and i think these should answer your questions about sizes and prices.

I recently purchased a Half Moon WOC, the picture is in this thread... http://forum.purseblog.com/chanel/cowoc-crazy-over-wallet-on-chain-670785.html.
I was so excited to buy it, I didn't realize it's Lambskin and because I never see anyone post Lambskin of their halfmoon, I thought they only come in Caviar. I'm debating whether to return it and wait till the store gets a caviar or keep it.
I just wanted to know what are the things you like about lambskin and why...
1. because it's soft
2. because it's the only available and you love the design or color

and how about caviar?
1. Because it's versatile
2. because it's the only available

Love lambskin. Just feels like pure luxury! Have more lambskin then caviar. I find being drawn to it more and for running around I adore calfskin. Oddly enough in dark colors, it's not as delicate as we think. I try not to do pale colors in the lamb, such as light pink or white. Those colors I'm afraid of ;-(((
