Diamond tennis bracelets

I have a tennis bracelet that I love! It was a gift from my husband for our anniversary. I wear it mostly for special occasions, like weddings, parties, or date nights. But sometimes I also wear it with casual outfits, like jeans and a blouse, to add some sparkle and elegance. I think it depends on your personal style and preference. There is no right or wrong way to wear a tennis bracelet. If you love it, go for it!

Need advice please! I recently purchased the Costco 4 carat tennis bracelet on sale. It’s an absolute steal for the diamond quality (other tennis bracelets with similar specs are 1.5x in price).

However, I’m still deliberating whether to keep because of the quality of the setting.

1) The clasp is faulty (and seems to be a common issue based on online reviews) - I’m not sure if it’s an easy fix at the jeweler but I worry about what it indicates about the quality of the rest of the bracelet.

2) When I zoom in on the 4 prong setting, the prongs look more like horizontal lines than dots. Would this bother you?

3) The bracelet catches on arm hair. Is this normal for tennis bracelets?

Would love your thoughts please!

Looks gorgeous but doesn’t sound like you love it.

If you are not crazy about it, you should return it. IMO only, it looks a bit kinked up, not straight.

Could I pls pls pick your thoughts, I wear Cartier Love bracelets 17, Juc 16. I do have a diamond bangle but its slightly big & overlaps the Loves so I stopped wearing it. I have an old 3ct tennis bracelet 17cm before I got my Cartier and I love the look of it stack with the Loves but it goes under & moves around which drives me nut. I contacted the jeweller I bought my tennis bracelet from to re-craft it to a bangle style so I can wear it with my Loves without the issue of overlapping, going under or moving around. I got a quote of USD 3,400, it'll be full Diamonds top & bottom (I bought my tennis for USD 5,995) My hubby and best friend does NOT agree to have my tennis converted into a bangle:sad: I don't know what should I do?
Have it re-craft to a bangle or leave it as it is:confused1:? Thank you

Depending on the gold and labor, I don’t think thats too much. Just make sure you don’t want to keep the tennis bracelets as is for wearing without the loves. Perhaps get a price of just buying a diamond bangle or trading in, if you are sure you won’t wear the tennis ones. :)

I just checked my TB, that I've worn for years, 24/7. Your prongs look similar to mine, maybe a bit more pronounced. Fixing/replacing the clasp should be an easy fix. I suggest to everyone who owns a TB to invest in an extra safety clasp (2nd pic) as a backup. This little chain has saved me many times! Also, have a jeweler check, very couple years, the diamond and metal integrity. If your TB is catching on your arm hair...maybe it's too tight a fit?

I hear you! I just got a 5 tcw YG tennis bracelet from Costco, and I have a dilemma as well. Like yours, mine catches my arm hair, but it's SUPER LOOSE. Also, the clasp has an 18kt WG tongue that has nickel in it and fried my wrist immediately, so I have to get the clasp replaced. My dilemma is that the diamonds are so sparkly and good, I don't think I can get stones as good as I did for the price of this. Making it a really hard choice to keep or return.

Maybe you could visit a jeweler who is good with repairs to see if they can shorten it for you and replace the part that irritates your skin. Shortening the bracelet should be easy; not sure about the clasp. Please share a pic of your bracelet if you can.

Thank you for your reply and suggestions. I've considered shortening, but am not sure that it will solve the hair problem, which is why I asked, because once that is done, I can't return it. The part replacement I have also considered, but it means giving up a hidden clasp for a lobster one, which I'm not sure I'd like to do. And yes, shortening does free up diamonds, which I had considered, and that is great, I agree. I don't know...trying to figure out if $5K is better spent on something else or if this is worth it to me!

I had mine shortened and used the extra line of diamonds for a pendant. I don’t think you can get the bracelet short enough to not pull hair on arm. Mine pulls some- it’s just the nature of a bracelet that is fluid and in motion. Good luck deciding!

Oh, if they want to put a lobster clasp on it, I wouldn't like that. One of the main things I love about tennis bracelets is the integrated, seamless clasp. And yes, the hair pulling would be annoying. Luckily my bezel-set style doesn't do any hair pulling...the hinges aren't attached against the wrist.

Given these issues, maybe best to return and find something that you absolutely love wearing...either another bracelet or a tennis style that doesn't have the drawbacks of your current one.

What is your bezel set one like?
