Diamond studs - sizing help

My studs are 0.5 each which I find is tasteful and discreet...my lobes aren't big so they look appropriate..the cut is excellent so they sparkle like anything......they can be worn night or day and can easily wear a statement necklace at the same time without it looking too much. I've seen loads of costume jewelry fake studs in huge sizes and if I had anything bigger (say 1.5 ++) I think they would unfortunately fall into look, like the Rappers who wear those huge diamond studs, I think they look tacky....:shame: my hair when it's out covers my ears anyway, would sooner have my big diamond on my finger

But each to their own!

I thought I post my stud, its a 0.83ctw pair. I see no reason why I shoud go for a 1ctw. I also tried a 1.5ctw pair and the jeweller immediately stated: I look decorated with larger ctw. I don't want to be decorated for sure! That's just not me.
Other woman prefer the decorated look, though.

Maybe the photo helps other how still try to figure out which size fits.

btw: the shape is perfectly round, the camera added a strange distortion.

Laugh Out Loud!!

WOW. Now I was REALLY slow on the uptake. took days for me to get the picture, but LOL, too, now that I understand what the threestone in this case is ...

haha yup and especially when my centerstone has visible inclusions!

I think if I went any larger for studs I would need a princess/asscher cut because too much round in or around my face is never a good thing for me.

1ct per ear (2ctw) or .5ct per ear (1ctw)?

I personally like smaller studs so I'd say .5 per ear. But there are two threads just a few threads below yours asking the exact same questions.

I think it really depends on your face shape and your overall appearance. For example, I am very petite, small and short and huge diamond studs do not look appropriate, which is why I prefer smaller studs.
