My last post was 2:52am, as you all can see, this decision is keeping me up at night. Urgh!!! Was late to work this morning and can't function at work either.....

Thanks ladies so much for your inputs. TPF is very educational for me. Ok... I am reaching a decision to get studs first. Stay tune.... I will keep gals posted tonight.

I've decided to go go ahead of getting studs now since I am hesitant about the emeral cut for the e-ring. Still funds left to go toward the e-ring.

I am getting 2.5ctw studs with a good G color and VS2 and SI1 clarity. I hope it will get here by Friday. I think I have made a good decision cuz I slept really well last night. Now, I am just really excited about the studs. Yea!!!!!

I wear my e ring and wedding band everyday, but I never take out my diamond studs either.....

I would rather have the ring I think.....

Hmmm, I have and wear both every day. My first instinct would be for the e/ring, for definate you would wear it everyday but then its an incredibly personal choice.

I did it e/ring first, studs after. I bought smallish studs to start and once I knew for certain I would wear them all the time, I traded them back with my diamond merchant and went bigger. You can't go wrong with either imo, you just have to decide which is first...what a lovely descion to have to make!!

Thanks Chaz! I had smaller studs, but now I think I will be very happy for a long time for this new and larger size of studs.

I know the delivery will not get here until Friday, darn it, I have to be at work. I will beg my DH to wait at home for deliver. Just over excited!

I think you have made the right decision. my 3ctw studs are my staples although i am shopping for 6ctw now-that's b'c i have huge earlobes.

as for the engagement ring, you should just keep shopping till you find THE perfect one. good luck!

I think I made a right decision too because I am happy and feel very sure of it.

6ctw? OMG! That would be as big as my ear, but it's TDF. Let us know when you get it. We would to see would it look on you. Good luck!

Hi Chaz,

I know you posted a pic of your ring somewhere on this forum, can you give us a link? I know it was gorgeous .

OP, I would wait on a emerald diamond as you really have to love that cut to truly appreciate it. IMHO, it has to be "large" to be fully appreciated - I could stare into an emerald cut all day long, but I'd rather wear a round as that one would sparkle like crazy.

Like many people said, it's a personal opinion and you have to be truly happy with your decision.
