Jewelry will always hold more value than a used bag no matter what brand of bag it is. Ask any pawn shop! lol! But that doesn't mean u should get the ring unless ur asking what will hold value more.
But Chanel bag seems like the most popular choice for me as iv been researching diamond rings and with the price range I'm limited at a excellent spec half carat or maybe 0.60 in a halo settin seems to be as big as I can go and I'm hesitant in purchasing online incase of resizing etc
Diamond ring. I think jewelry will always hold more value than a bag. Besides you'll wear the ring everyday, you might think twice about wearing your bag everyday.
Buy your diamond online and get it set by a local jeweller. That way, you know it's the right size.
As for "value", diamond rings don't have good resale value. You almost always will only be able to sell it for 1/3 of the price you bought it for. It's more for a sentiamental value.
Not sure, maybe it depends on how much use u will get out of it. Like the ring, will it b a ring u will wear everyday?if so, I would get the ring.
One thing about jewelry, u have the option. U can wear good quality jewelry every day for life and pass it down to ur kids, then their kids, so on. With a purse, it will get marks or wear out. U would almost have to use the bag for special occasions only, and even then it will show wear after time passes.
Also just to say I LOVE bags and I myself would prob buy the bag because thats what i collect, but if I had my eye on both a jewelry piece and a bag i loved equally I'd pick the jewelry for sure.
It is a tough choice, but my suggestion is to go with your gut. Don't over think it. For that kind of money you must love it ,even if it doesn't hold it's value. Neither one will. Another thought would be pick up a cz ring cheap in the size you would get and wear it and see if that is something you would really like. I would go try on the bag in the store put my stuff in it and see how that feels. Your gut will tell you which one is right. If not perhaps neither one is and you may want to wait till something really makes your heart sing.
Try flipping a coin: in that moment, you'll probably know which one you want more.

It depends on the specs, size/weight of the diamonds and what sort of ring you want - i.e. solitaire (with or without halo), cluster or eternity band. I don't know whether you would consider a ring from Tiffany's (it is true that you can get bigger stones elsewhere for the same or less money, but Tiffany's does tend to hold its value well if you ever want to sell some of their pieces and the workmanship is excellent), but their Soleste ring is absolutely beautiful and only a little above your budget. They also have other lovely diamond rings within your budget set in gold or platinum if you take a look at their website. Judging by their prices you can definitely find a nice diamond ring elsewhere well within the price range you want to spend
