Diamond ring vs Chanel classic flap

Hey everyone!
I'm considering purchasing either a diamond ring online (il choose the diamond and setting) or a black classic flap Chanel.
I can only buy one this year and I'm unsure which one to choose. The diamond ring won't be more than the price of the flap £3000 etc.

Which one do you think I should go for?

I'm not really a Chanel fan, but the ring would last forever and the bag would wear out. I think only you can answer your question - which do you want more? why do you want it? Try imagining yourself having the ring and not the bag, and then the other way around, and see which makes you feel happier.

I'm really torn as I love both, but on the other hand as much as I love diamonds, there not really worth much so i could probably buy it later without paying an increase in price however Chanel on the other hand increases their price by a ridiculous amount.

I think it sounds like you really want the Chanel. Go for it. I think the worst thing to do is going for something else because it's the "practical" thing to do (a smallish diamond vs. the Chanel flap you yearn for)...
