Thank you so much! Hugs

forgot to add re the Belperron trivia: Karl Lagerfeld wore Belperron jewelry daily (esp tie brooches and clips) and Verdura salon, not Chanel, owns the orginal cc Verdura cuffs (and I got to see them in person)

Very cool! And I'm happy to enable... keep us all posted! Also, you mentioned Maltese crosses above, and my mind goes immediately to vintage Chanel circa 70s-80s. Definitely worth looking into.;)

Verdura SA specifically mentioned this way to wear belperron corne earrings the two stacked on one ear. Or as a pin. Need to play a little to get them more aligned but have a feeling DH will like this. the second pic looks more like a whole crescent. Pity there’s no option to buy half a set for the other ear

I think I saw them in a case and they weren’t tiny. (Actually verdure makes some things in two sizes like night and day, but on the whole, the jewelry is substantially sized. But stardust were in the little rotunda entry off the main salon and I was focused on trying Maltese cuffs and later the fulco earclips, so I’m not certain. There was also a version with yellow gold abstract shaped surrounding.

Apologies, I think I saw the ear cuffs. . . Trying hard to remember. I saw a lot. . . I do remember some of the Verdura appeared well priced relative to the Belperron

Are these the ear cuffs you saw with the yellow gold border? They look gorgeous as well, quite different look.

Honestly I think they were different from all three pics. A lot more gold and DH was like, pls not that one  bc he thinks of the combo of yellow gold and diamonds set in white as very 1980s. I will say that the stuff does look amazing when you try it on. . . even the smaller pieces have more presence than one might imagine.

I think a lot of jewelry I am suddenly gravitating towards has a vintage vibe, even some 1980’s in some cases, which I never would have believed even a few years ago. I honestly can’t tell you whether it’s changing fashion trends or the fact that I’m getting older which is changing my taste for jewelry to items that are a little over the top and maybe even a little gaudy.

Totally agree.

I was wearing my mother's rope necklace and a really old Cartier ring I was bought as a kid just this Saturday and they felt right.

Couldn't get the darn ring off my (ring) finger for 2 days but never mind (have now). I used to wear that ring on my middle finger

My fine quilted Chanel quilted square hoops I bought whilst into the Fugees et al are looking good again.

Anyone with those Kutchinsky and Elizabeth Gage pieces will be so happy.
