Designer Brands You Will Never Buy

Always feel like they are copying Vuitton, not a fan [emoji136]🏼 but I'm not a monogram person anyways.
I remember when MCM was big back in the 80's (am I telling my age:giggles:), and when I saw that they were making a come back a few years ago I was surprised. I agree that they can remind you of LV in a more middle of the road type of way. I've looked at them several times and can't bring myself to purchase one. You never know though, if they come out with something that catches my eye I might have a change of heart. My LV that I recently purchased is my first logo heavy bag and I'm not sure if I need many of them in my bag collection that have logo's all over them.

I was considering a Givenchy Antigona Sugar Goatskin Satchel last year but all the sacrilegious depictions on their other items were a turn-off.

Even though I think a few of their handbags are nice. I doubt if I`ll support that style of branding.

nothing MK, at all. he's not a designer in my opinion and is not original. his bag styles are very nice, i grant you that, but that's only b/c he copies the styles from the high-end brands. not sure if his other lines (ie clothes) follow that as well.

I`m not especially fond of his handbags but I just bought one of his rose gold watches and it is divine!

No worries [emoji8]
I remember reading an article a few years ago about rebranding german brands and they used MCM as their prime example since they crashed in the 90's and nobody wanted to wear them anymore and now they are kind of a big thing again. Until then I didn't know, I used to think the brand was absolutely new to the market 🙄 I asked my mum about it and she was suprised as well that they were on trend again.

Aww which LV bag did you treat yourself to? [emoji4]

I forgot about Goyard...
I bought a tote on a trip to Europe.
I live in the South and everyone kept asking if I bought it at Target...(In the South Target is considered luxury shopping as oppose to Walmart so I guess it was still a compliment):p

Sold it, ..Never plan to purchase any more from them.

They're definitely not in the same price range but I feel the same way about the longchamp nylon totes. I saw everyone carrying them and immediately assumed they were a popular bag from target.

I think with Goyard it's just that you can't really see the good craftmanship until you're up close... From far away they just look plastic

Just thought of another:
Mansur Gavriel

I don`t get the hype...

Haha honestly I feel with you, their design is quite clean and not that special but when something is so high in demand and sells out that quickly and you see them on instagram in all the pretty pictures, it always kind of itches me to get it (same with limited editions, yeezy boots, etc. - seems I'm guilty of that whole hype [emoji16]) therefore I used to want their bucket bag but thank god I cleared my mind that it was due to marketing strategies [emoji16]
