Balenciaga. Just don't get it[emoji845] Maybe I should never say never: until recently couldn't stand LV and now I'm lusting after the Alma!!!

I said Balenciaga too a couple years ago however the style has changed a little and it's not as "rockerish" as it use to be. It is also very light for a leather bag, even full it is still light. I asked a waitress to move my bag because I was close to spilling my food on it and she was amazed how light it was and commented that she's use to bags feeling like luggage lol.

I was looking for the perfect grey bag and when I saw the grey Bal it just spoke to me and I get a lot of compliments on it. It's not my "fav" bag but it surprised me with how practical it is and I'm glad I gave it a chance. I can certainly now understand the appeal with Bals.

Definitely never say never! I never understood the bal city/Moto bags or whatever they are, but the new Alexander Wang designs are right up my alley. You never know what direction a brand will move in.

I thought that I would never carry a Balenciaga. Didn't get the hype. The leather felt stiff. I saw one online for a great price in one of my favorite shades of blue so I thought, why not? Now, I can't stop carrying it. I can't remember the last time that I carried a bag for 2 weeks with zero desire to carry anything else.

You just never know.

lol this was pretty much my experience, it came out in a color I had been looking for and bam fell in love.

I had to force myself to put it away and start carrying the pink LV Alma I bought before it goes out of season.

It's weird how we can feel about brands isn't it? I don't like LV and Chanel, but I love every Fendi bag in existence (the new designs that is, the vintage logoed ones are ugly), so if someone says they don't like Fendi I just can't wrap my head around that even though I probably feel the same about their favourite brand

I have this weird thing with Saint Laurent bags, I like the look of them but would never buy them myself. The same goes for Balenciaga I guess, except maybe for their Boston bag but you can get similar designs elsewhere.

Oh and I really really don't like the Céline Luggage and Trapeze, but I like all their other designs.

Finally, I would never ever buy a hobo bag, by any brand.

I feel the exact same about YSL, I've looked and contemplated buying different bags time and time again and just couldn't pull the trigger. However I always go over to look at them when I'm shopping, I guess wanting to see if my feelings have changed but I've come to realize I'm just not that into them.

I dislike monogram bags. I used to carry them but the constant parade of them in the DC area makes them look like a uniform or worse a high school click club. Sorry! Hermes looks too prissy to me, never owned a Bal bag but love the rocker/hip vibe to it. I have really only carried BV for the last 8 years or so because they look good with everything and I love the quality without the advertisement. Absolutely. Hate. Michael Kors. YUK.

Definitely never any MK too many designer "inspired" bags at price points that make them far to saturated. Also no LV for me, after a bad CS experience I try to stay away from them. Also love the look of Louboutins, but for the price, I think my Choos are far more comfortable and just a bit less pricy.

I don't think I'll ever be into LV or Hermes. Don't think LV looks good at all. Don't like patterns on bags really. Not to mention it almost always looks the same so it's like every bag is identical. I know it's their signature but just not my thing. Hermes... don't see anything appealing about it. I do prefer smaller purses for one, but even if it wasn't for that, just their design makes it look like every other bag honestly, it may be classic but to me it's boring.

As living in an Asia country, you would properly hate every single IT bag that is on trend.
First: fake bags are everywhere. You can see pupils, students, workers carry fake LV and Chanel in every corner during days and nights.
Second: the poor taste of the local A list celebs. Hermes is the queen of showing off. Imaging a VIP party everyone in dramatic evening gown and carry Birkin size 35 in vivid colours or an on-the-field charity event in the remote area and celebs still carry Birkin with casual outfit.

And this gonna make you sick of seeing those bags. Right now in my country are Birkin, Chanel (2.55 and boys) and all sort of LV. I've got terrified seeing those lately.

First, I'm going to say that I reserve the right to change my mind 5 seconds from now. Any brand can get a new creative director / head designer who changes the design approach and I could be all over the new line. And I'm going to repeat that me hating a bag isn't personal. It's about the bag ONLY.

Premium Designers:

I still really, really, really hate Bottega Veneta. I have purposely looked at this brand more closely this year because people say they have great quality. Ok. But I find them hideous. I don't like the hippy woven look. And, I don't like and / or are bored by the silhouettes. Unless there is a design aesthetic overhaul, I would never, ever carry one.

I've never been a Louis Vuitton girl. I keep trying to stay open to the brand. But, after several long visits to their boutiques in various cities at different times, I just can't like the bags. I despise the monograms, I refuse to spend "good" money on coated canvas and I'm not moved at all by most of the styles. Now I do see some epi bags that are very attractive and I like some of the shapes of some of the structured canvas monogrammed bags. But, I don't see me ever choosing to buy an LV when there are other bags I love on my hit list.

And, Hermes. This is a head scratcher for me. For the price, I need to covet / love / drool over the bag. But when I see Hermes I think...ok. That's a nice bag. No drooling. I've had the opportunity to see them first hand. No drooling. So I can't see why I'd ever buy one. My jaw drops and my heart stops when I see (some of the) designs by Dior or Gucci. And I truly love (some) Prada, Chanel and Saint Laurent. But I never swoon about Hermes. So, I'd be an idiot to spend 5 figures on a bag with which I'm "ok"

Contemporary Deisgners:
Back to some oldies but badies that have been in my cross hairs for a while and continue to earn my (dis) respect....

I'm growing more discontent with Michael Kors. I try not to fuel the hate because I know there is a place for this brand and I own 2 of them that are true workhorses while being really attractive. But, gosh. MK doesn't even TRY to be original on some of his bags. And, I see them everywhere so they don't feel special. Even though I like my two bags, it makes me want to replace them so I don't have that branding on something I carry. Ugh.

And I won't buy Coach because I'm still mad that the brand does not offer the quality leather goods that it did when I was a young girl and coveted them. Most brands have reduced quality to increase profit. For example, Chanel no longer does gold plating on its bags. I get it. But Coach's quality didn't shift...it plummeted. I have a good friend who insists on buying the bags. Consistently, they break, peel, fray, etc. And the answer from the store is a credit that loops her back into another worthless bag. Blech. They just aren't worth their price and the styling is...meh.

The last brand I have to say I'm not going to buy again is Kate Spade. I've sold every one and I haven't looked back. Not because I don't find some of the bags fun. I'm just "over" having a whimsical bag and I don't like the quality of the leathers used in their mainline bags. This is another brand that I find overpriced for what you get. I don't have the roiling negative energy for KS that I have for MK or Coach. I still see them and smile because they are often pretty bags. They just aren't for me.

Never say never, but If I decide to buy a contemporary designer, only Dooney and Bourke really works for me from a style and quality standpoint.

I'm always about exploring new brands but the ones above just don't work for me.
