I have a problem with this 'new' writing/stamping of brands' name on the outside of bags, so the new SLP, MKs and others put me off, so I guess it's a feature thing and not a specific brand

This. I really dislike obvious branding.

I don't think I've ever looked twice at a Michael Kors, D&B, Massaccesi, Coach, Tory Burch, Dior, Versace, Goyard, Tods, Gucci, Rebecca Minkoff, Longchamp, Ferragamo, or Fendi bag.

I've seen maybe a handful of Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Chloe, Burberry, Mulberry, BV, Jimmy Choo, and Kate Spade bags that I've thought were nice over the years, but would still never carry.

I don't like much, apparently

Lol, I was going to say the same thing.

I believe in 'never say never'... Even a brand I think I don't like sometimes will come out with a style I like. I would only avoid a brand if it's poor quality or has bad CS.

Thought the same until I had one right there in front of me. I had two after that and a Town and still want another one in Anthracite color.

It's weird how we can feel about brands isn't it? I don't like LV and Chanel, but I love every Fendi bag in existence (the new designs that is, the vintage logoed ones are ugly), so if someone says they don't like Fendi I just can't wrap my head around that even though I probably feel the same about their favourite brand

I have this weird thing with Saint Laurent bags, I like the look of them but would never buy them myself. The same goes for Balenciaga I guess, except maybe for their Boston bag but you can get similar designs elsewhere.

Oh and I really really don't like the Céline Luggage and Trapeze, but I like all their other designs.

Finally, I would never ever buy a hobo bag, by any brand.

I don't like bags with initials all over them, structured bags, or bags with faces like the Celine Phantom. I hate padlocks too. Don't like anything that's not leather either, or plaid.

I hate bags with initials and monogram print. It's one of those things that just bothers me. Also bags with huge gaudy logos. That's why I'm a fan of Chloé....very chic bags with super subtle logo or no logo visible at all.

I can't really say. It just looks really cool. It's fashionable but doesn't look pretentious. I really don't know how to paraphrase it.

Apparently in few short weeks I have changed my mind as I totally am coveting dragon bags from Gucci and python mini Peekaboo bags in Fendi... hehehe.

However! Added to the list is Goyard. Sorry, to me it just looks... cheap. And please don't nobody say the dots are handpainted!!!

Interesting thread. I will buy any kind of designer bag as long as I think it looks nice.
