I use to be an LV fan, but now I'm over it. I still have my Speedy's and my luggage, but I'm not excited about it. I feel like the way they treat their customers and the quality of their products aren't there anymore (like Mercedes-Benz).

I'm not a fan of MK, Coach, or similar name brand bags.

I love Gucci probably for some of the reasons people hate it. I love the 90's and it puts me at peace to remember that time. I think their logo is beautiful and I love an imprinted Guccissima pattern. I think it also fits in with my general style (loose silk tops from Vince or other flowy things from Anthro). I also find the quality and customer care to be great. I love their large bags, but I also love the red and green straps and functionality of cross-body or belt bags.

I love Gucci too, but I must jump to the defense of Mercedes. I love Mercedes, and have driven the brand continuously since 2009 [along with Cadillac] similar to most products they have their lower end "affordable" products, and the higher end. I don't drive the lower end [C class, GLA, etc.] however I can assure you that higher end [GL, S-class, CL, etc] have excellent quality, and the service is always excellent.

I believe it's the lower end that are short on quality, has to be somethiing to account for a $50,000+ price difference.

Any luxury brand that moved production to China or Contemporary designers that produce all of their products in China & countries with low labor costs

Mulberry (So sad because I love the Mini Lily)
Alexander Wang (Heard of quality issues)
Michael Kors (Not my style)
Coach (Also not my style)
Kate Spade (China)
Rebecca Minkoff (Quality issues)
Burberry (Not my style)
Dooney & Bourke (Unappealing to me)
Tory Burch (Quality is questionable and I don't like the brand personally)

I read this and nodded along.

I agree with everything except I LOVE Burberry trench coats! They are my fave!

I agree with you on Mercedes! I grew up in a family that ALWAYS had Mercedes. My great grandfather started the whole Mercedes trend in my family. My father just broke the rule with a Range Rover but we still love Mercedes a lot and still have two.

yeah, we don't go that far back, but like every brand, they have the good...and the bad. Range Rovers are nice too.

I normally never say never but there are a few designer brands whose aesthetic just doesn't fit my style - Versace, Miu Miu, D&G and (don't kill me anyone!) Balenciaga. I've seen a lot of people carrying bags from these brands and looking fabulous, but I don't think that I would be able to make them work for myself.

I know this isn't carforum but I saw the convo on this and had to jump in. I've had 2 Mercedes in my lifetime. They were not the Baby Benzes and they both were horrible cars. I love the look of this brand but would never buy it again. The only car that is worse is the (beautiful but worthless) Jaguars we've had. 😖

Back to purses!!!

That SUX. guess it's always a few bad apples in the bunch. I've had an ML and GL, my husband had an S class, and I've had several friends with CL and now S coupe, and all have been nothing but amazing. The only brand I will every buy is Mercedes. My husband jumps around, but stays btw 3-4 brands [incl Mercedes]. Now BMW's and yes Jags...horrible cars, albeit beautiful to look at.

did you buy during the time Chrysler and Mercedes were one? I've heard of a lot of quality issues during this era.
