loving this thread................i adore logo bags LOL maybe its 'cause I don't care what anyone thinks (a great philosophy to have if you don't do anything to hurt anyone while embracing it) - especially people i don't know oogling my bag and passing judgement!! Who cares? I figure if i'm paying that much for a bag, the logos are what i want...but I am really never gonna buy LV again because of all the fakes............even that adorable monogramed denim one. Also, do not see what the big deal is, about the Dior bag with the quilting, little handles and D - I - O - R charms. To me, its too demure and Junior League-ish (no offense, Junior League is a wonderful thing with all the service they do..but this bag annoys me).
also, small bags unless they're evening bags.
Also, sorry, I cannot tolerate Coach or Dooney for anyone over maybe 25.
I think Isabella Fiori bags are pretty but would not buy one.
Better stop, sounding like a bag snob :p :smile1:

i've a lot to say about bags that i totally don't like at all. amazingly, i bought those bags in the past, now i should throw them away or give them to my frens. my list:

1) Fendi Spy-Used to love but now hate it! uack!
2) Fendi B Bag-what a total waste of money!
3) Coach bags-Not my cup of taste at all. Poor quality leather.
4) Dior mono bags-no longer in love with them. i prefer understated luxury now.
5) lv-all the newer designs, totally regret pruchasing them. still love classic mono, suhali, vernis & epi but totally have not used them for a long time.
6) gucci-not all. only in love with horsebit bag and dragon bags with no mono at all. the rest, yuckie!
7) dooneys- yuck!
8) chloe-yuck!
9) dkny bags-yuck!
10) balenciaga-i only like in classic black motorcycle & weekender. find a waste of money collecting in other colors.
11) bonia-eek!!
12) burberry-no longer in love with any at all.
13) ...still have a long list, can't remember all names.

okie to sum it up: the only bags i like r
1) ALL HERMES BAGS (WORTH THE MONEY! Understated luxury! Not too commercialized.)

2) BOTTEGA VENETA BAGS (AGAIN UNDERSTATED AND NOT SHOWY. GOOD CRAFTMANSHIP PLUS INTRICATE DETAILS.)

3) Chanel (2.55s, vintage 2.55s and clutches. the rest very subjective.)

4) Balenciaga (only classic black motorcycle and weekender. a waste of money collecting in other colors.)

5) Fendi- white mink baguette & vanity clutches only.

6) Gucci- only horsebit in metallic gold leather plus canvas type with sequins & dragon bags.

7) Hogan-only the guitar trim.

8) Judith Leiber- collector's item.

9) Renauld Pellegrino- only the clutches.

10) YSL-so far i like all. very understated also.

11) Dior-only classic saddles without mono, ballet bags & lady dior.

12) Celine- Only the boogies without mono.

13) Loewe-those without mono.

14) Plastiq-love all of them. adds glitter to plain outfit.

15) LV-only epi, white vernis, suhali, damier geant, classic damier & classic mono speedy, keepall, steamer.

^^^^^EWW!:roflmfao:

EWW, EWW, EWW!!!!

I'm going to go clorox my brain now, try to get that image of a Fendi Spy out of it!

Comments like this would be reason number one why I won't shop for ANYTHING with my DH.

I agree about the D&B bags, they do seem for a younger crowd.Nothing against them but not crazy about them for myself. I love the b-bags and did just purchase one. One more would be fine but I personally don't think I would want the same bag in 10 different colors but thats just me.

I never got the appeal of Damier, either. Even before the speedy, I was all why? I never liked it for some reason. Then I found out, it was originally, or intented to be, a male line. It seems to make sense to me. It's really not that feminine or appealing imo. :p

Yeah I dont like damier either ... I have lots of LV and never ever have owned a damier bag and probably never will ... its kinda ugly

Love my Balenciagas! I have to say that I was not all crazy about them until a friend of mine carried an "inspired" bag and I fell instantly in love with the shape. So I did some research and found out what the real bag was and now have two. The style seems a bit odd at first, but they are so easy to use and lightweight that they become addictive!

The bag I don't get is the LV. Some styles I adore...the new(ish) Lockit is darling, but hello...it's canvas! And the colors are putrid. And then there is the whole LV signature thing...if I am going to advertise YOUR name all over MY stuff, why am I paying you?
