Oh Mojo...that does sound like a bit of a nightmare! I wish I could give you some sage advice on what to do, but I would have done exactly as you have. I guess you should cancel the transactions, if possible, with your credit card company a.s.a.p., as H.com doesn't have a record of the transactions, and start all over again in a few days, once the dust settles. :confused1:

I'm sure it will all be sorted......eventually!

sometimes I amaze myself at the lengths I will go to to buy stuff!!!!!

and guess what - I checked the UK site and they actually have more CWs and for me, because of the exchange rates, it actually works out cheaper to buy from the UK site - so maybe I'll try to buy from there after I've actually verified that nothing was actually purchased from H.com US!

gee...........I never learn, do I???

yay for DH!!!

how old are your girls? yuppers, as my DM says whenever I complain about DS - "now you know how I've suffered"!!!!!

:blushing:

:lolots::lolots::lolots:...my mom says the same thing to me mojo! Our daughters are 14 and 17. Oldest is leaving us for three weeks next Friday to travel to South Africa to volunteer at an AIDS orphanage. We're incredibly proud of her (and I must admit to a wee bit of trepidation on my part too). I tried to get our 14 year old to clean up her room last night, to which she replied..."mom, my room is meant to be my happy place, and I'm not happy when it's clean!!!":nuts::nuts:

I'm eating well mojo (maybe a little too well right now!), and my husband is definitely taking care of me. The girls are a different story all together...I've been asking them to do laundry since Monday, and not a pinkie has been lifted (TEENAGERS :cursing::cursing::cursing:). But Teddy is being a sweetie!

I think there's a dead hearing spot in teen's ears when the word laundry is uttered by mom. Just replaced by a loud buzzing sound in their head, lol.

I'm sure many of us have gone to great lengths to buy things we've wanted mojo (God knows, I have!). So maybe this tale will have a happy ending, because as you say, you discovered after the fact that there are more cws available at H.com UK.

YES PAUILLAC!!! But I think in my case, the loud buzzing noise is translated into a "BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH....whenever I utter a word in their direction!

^^^ Lily and I just happen to be planning trips to Paris at the same time next year, October 2011, so feel free to hop on board!! Lily is having lunch with MaiTai!!!! :yahoo:

Assuming all goes to plan, I will be in paris briefly this october!

But I will definitely keep next october in mind - I love trips with good girlfriends who love the same kind of stuff!!

wow, that's a great project for her to participate in. hopefully it will help her gain a different perspective on life.........as we are all incredibly privileged in our own ways and I frequently wonder if I coddle DS too much.....

Ohhhh, lucky you mojo!!! Paris this October! I've only been once, and it was in July when it was sweltering. I am really looking forward to experiencing fall in Paris. October 2011 marks a double celebration for my husband and I, so we've been looking forward to this trip for a long time!

By the sounds of it mojo, I am guessing that your son is younger than my daughters? We wouldn't allow her to go on this kind of trip if she were younger than 17, but I totally agree with you...it will be a huge eye-opener for her, and a very good chance to gain some perspective on her life and the world around her (albeit, for a very brief time).

must confess I've never liked europe in the summer - as you say, sweltering and completely over-run with tourists......

are you just doing paris?
