Date code/serial number....

Are there date codes on the damier? I can't find one on my Saleya from Elux. Wondering if they don't have a code in this design...

None of the pockets lift up (completely sewn in to the lining), and I've thoroughly checked every seam.

Funny thing about this, I was in the LV Boutique in the Galleria last night and I asked the sales person about the date code, and she said not all of the (authentic) purses have them. I was sort of surprised.

Actually, I was told the same thing. I purchased the Mono speedy 30 today in a LV boutique, and I couldn't find the date code. So, I called the LV 1-800 number to ask where to find it. The women on the phone told me that sometimes the date codes are not in a place where you can see them and that it can be in a number of places. She said that the date codes are only there for manufacturing purposes...

Well...I ended up finding the date code in my speedy. It is under the inside pocket...on the part that connects to the handle...

Oh! I just read this...I'm so glad you guys clued me up on reading date codes.

I have a vintage epi speedy in fawn and I never new how old it was...
Well the code is "ML 0950"
So it was born in 1990 May! Its 16yrs old!

Im soooo chuffed. Its a little older than my niece!

M40025 might be a style number but definitely not a date code. May3545, I think it's fun finding the origins too!
