Date Code & "Made In" Questions

I just received a beautiful vintage Saint Cloud. It doesn't appear to have a date code but I'm not concerned about authenticity...I had it authenticated. My questions are a) are we all just missing the date code 
and b) could it be vintage enough so that their is no date code? The interior is a smoother leather lining that newer models. I would love to know where I would likely find the date code (in case I missed it) and what a possible range might be for this piece with the different leather lining and possibly no date code. Thanks for any light you can shed on this. This forum rocks!

A St Cloud should have a datecode.
Open the flap of the bag and look along the seam line on the right hand side. It might be an imprint (rather than being in a different colour to the lining) so might be tough to spot. Try a small torch too.
Thank you! I am just baffled. I see no date code. Could it possibly be in the pocket? I had it authenticated with Caroldiva and she says its legit. I just need to find this code!
Possibly although, if memory serves, the pocket on a St Cloud is lined differently to the body of the bag. Have never seen a St Cloud datecode in that pocket. It could be quite worn in the position I described earlier - what sort of condition is the bag in?
The bag is in very good condition for it's apparent age. Even the interior and exterior pockets are useable and not sticky. The interior leather as a whole is in very good Condition as well. No cracking or peeling. Seems to me I should be able to find this darn code. I've never posted photos to this forum before but perhaps I will try to get something uploaded. Thank you so much!
Hi, can someone tell me if this is a authentic date code AR1320 it's on an artsy mm. It doesn't make sense to me.
No way!!! That would read made in France in the 12 week of 2030.... But I certainly hope I live that long to see that DATECODE official lol!!!
Well, it's been known for date codes pertaining to future dates to be produced, but sixteen years into the future seems a little unlikely. 
I'm also wondering because I made my order on april 17th and the date code says its made the 3rd week of april 2014, so that means they made it sometime in the same week in France and had it shipped out to Canada to me. I don't know if they are usually this efficient and speedy but i would have thought I would get one with an older date code.
Does it matter? I have no idea how quickly LV moves items from country to country but I suspect it's fairly quickly (after all, there's no reason LV can't leave the French factory on day 1 and be in Canada on day 2)! How quickly after ordering it did you receive it?
You're also working on the basis that datecodes are quite literal - LV might work 2 weeks in advance for example. Think about the seasonal limited edition items. They're not all made the day before they hit the shops so that the datecodes tie in with the release date.

I just bought a MC sarah in purple and mine is located in the back pocket on the right hand seam....Did you check there?

I just purchased a Mono Sarah last week and can't find the date code. I called the 866 number and the SA said that some of the new Sarah wallets will not have a visible date code and some will. She said that she has never seen a visible date code on the NM3 wallets herself, but said it is possible. I thought that was a very odd answer.
