Damaged goods from Shopbop

I've gotten damaged stuff as well, but they've always taken stuff back.

I did buy something once that was 70% off, and therefore final sale, but they gave me store credit instead.

So returns/exchanges are supposed to be processed within 5 business days according to their website. I talked to a rep on day 5, and apparently they are experiencing a "high volume of returns" that is putting them into 6-7 days. Monday will be day 8. Getting pretty unimpressed.

I was issued a refund for two returned orders ( about 2 weeks for one and five days for the other ) but has not been reflected on my online statement yet.. With revolve it shows up after two days. Anyone else has a similar situation?
I am going to call my bank tonight. See, i am a secondary holder so I have to wait for my husband to make the call. I don't think they can see anything different to what I am seeing online though!

I've been ordering from both Shopbop and Revolve for years, and I've never had any problems with damaged items from either place. I think CS at both places have been great as well.

Also, I've found that Shopbop processes returns faster than most other online retailers. Amazon was pretty quick, but the last item I returned at Zappos took several weeks to be credited to my account. Shopbop usually credits in just a few days.

Still no word . . . It doesn't bother me that much if a store is a bit behind, but I don't think it's unreasonable to expect some priority for a half-damaged order. One of the items I wanted replaced has now sold out.

Amazon owns Shopbop and Zappos and their customer care and product services is usually excellent , I would say its a fluke , I am sure there should be no problems returning them and it happens once in awhile while shipping items. Anything can happen in transit, believe me I have seen the way these UPS drivers sometimes handle packages , sigh , such good merchandise ruined.

Not sure whether you are talking about the shipment or return shipment, but this case can't be blamed on UPS in either direction.

The type of damage was definitely not an issue of shipping. The leather item that was crushed was double boxed within the mailing box, and all boxes were perfectly fine. The other damages were a stain and a poorly attached crystal.

As far as the turnaround time on the return, my tracking shows the package arrived 9 business days ago. My exchange order finally went out today, minus the out-of-stock item.

Color my so unimpressed with Shop bop. Pity because I thought they were the best until this fiasco.

Their processing has been really slow lately. Same thing happened to me. My last return, it took about 2 weeks after they processed it for it to show up on my statement. I talked to CS and they said it usually takes up to 10 days.

plain jane doe, that's great that your exchange is finally processed and hopefully shipped soon :yahoo:

I had wanted to exchange an item for a different size and ended up just placing a new order for that size because they won't hold an item for you while they process the exchange. I too am becoming unimpressed by ShopBop, which is upsetting because they are probably the online store that I order from the most. Their CS is not what it used to be.

It's too bad -- maybe it's a case of raised expectations but they were willing to ship out a replacement rather than hold it for my last botched order, but not this time? Meanwhile, I don't get free shipping and asked if they would refund shipping on a second order once they received the return from the first. Denied, even though it costs them the same in the end.

Shop bop is the store I order from the most as well. I would like to just take my business elsewhere but they have done a damn good job of arranging exclusive products for themselves! I couldn't find any of my order items in any other online store.
