I just watched this movie (or most of it) last night. Happened upon it on free On Demand TV. All I can say is it didn't turn me on. I actually fell asleep before the ending but I guess they stayed together since they're getting ready to open a sequel.

It's not the sequel.. that was last year. The third (final) installment opened in theaters this month.
I was referring to the one in the theaters. Since you said "since they're getting ready to open a sequel.".. I thought you meant the sequel had just been released.

Yea when I think sequel I automatically think 2nd. That's why I responded that way, I misunderstood.
I have a friend who loves these movies...I weep for her. lol
It's about a few things imo (I have read them). It's a love story. It's about his mental health and trauma stemming from his childhood. It's about a young woman coming into her sexuality. The sex is what got the attention.
From the viewpoint of a woman coming into her sexuality in a way that considered unconventional, it loosely reminds me of that movie Secretary starring Maggie Gyllenhaal. I found that movie to be better.
wonder why they were so very popular....that many people never heard of S&M?From the few passages I was forced to read, it was awful....the writing is that of a teenager. Your imagination can't salvage the books.
