I then was told that the factory did check my bag but got confused between light blue and beige lining.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME! These colors are not even close. If the place making these bags can't tell the difference between BLUE and BEIGE, we have issues.
I have too much going on to deal with this crap so I think I am just going to suck it up and keep the bag and not deal with them further. I haven't replied to their last email and dont plan to.
^^
I was thinking about that too Chris. Even so, if someone wasn't sure they should double check and make sure they are making the correct bag. SOmething as simple as a lining color should not be messed up, IMO.
So sorry to hear this LL. You would think that if it were a language issue, that the orders received by phone or email from London surely should have been transcribed in the native language (Italian)
This is unsettling, as I remember specifically reading that someone got the wrong color lining, and the reply from BE was that the workshop thought the substitued color "looked better". I surely hope the workshop is not taking liberties based on supply or artistic license.
I agree no company in their right mind would want to lose LL as a customer.
Sorry to hear this. Obviously these lining colors are very different -- I wonder if there is a language issue in whoever is checking the order (e.g., English is not first language).
IIRC, BE said that at least FOUR people check the bags before they are sent out. Language issue or not, what is the point of having FOUR people check the bag, and still send out the wrong bag? What I really can't get over though is that FOUR people can miss the obvious.
I'm a great fan of BE and despite having mistakes in my orders, I haven't yet had a CS let-down thus far. I will still continue to use BEC, but to be honest, each time I worry (a lot!) until the baby is safe in my arms. There's always a lot of joy and excitment in building my bag, but the anxiety and worrying thereafter is very stressful.
