Received my new key pouch today and luckily got a MIF one. The stitching is perfect on this one! Here’s a comparison of the MIUSA one that I have returned and the MIF one I just received.
Current monogram key pouches that are made in USA appear to all have poor stitching.

Did you purchase from online? I received one today MIU and has the see through bottom as well as a huge dent in the front but nervous about orsering another online and getting another MIU one.
Yes I bought mine online! I just got lucky on my second time ordering. I’ve actually been noticing creases on the key pouches. My MIU one had it on one side and the MIF one I received today also had small creases as well. They were not terrible on this one so I decided to go ahead and keep it, since it I already returned one and at least this one had better stitiching. Didn’t want to risk ordering again!
thanks! i’ll try calling the stores near me for the next week for a MIF but if not I will try online again. I’ve been stuffing mine since this afternoon and I have noticed that the creasing is going down but after looking at the difference in stitching i definitely do not want to settle on this one!
100% id say try again! I wasn’t able to track down any in store, they were always out of stock whenever I called. They come back in stock online pretty much everyday, you just have to stalk the website since they sell very quickly! That’s good to know, I tried a little bit of the hair dryer technique and it also helped!

I'm really curious why there are some who claim the poor stitching is "normal" when there's quite obviously a difference between one that is well stitched and one that is not.. is it just because so many poorly stitched ones are passing qc and being sold, which in effect does "normalize" it?
Same thing happened with me, my MIU one had terrible, jagged and unattractive stitching. Ordered another one and got a beautifully stitched, more rounded MIF one
For sure, I think since so many of them have already been sold and there are so many people who do not pay attention/don’t mind the looser stitching, it has become “normal”. A lot of people think it’s normal because even with the poor stitching, it still lasts a very long time and isn’t likely to come undone. I guess it comes down to personal preference? For me, if I know the MIF one is going to have better stitching than the MIU one, id want the MIF one even if they’d both last just as well.Your new one looks great!!
So torn...so I ordered another key pouch...first one MIU had a dent, see through a little on the bottom from the inside, and outside stitching... second one arrived today MIF no dent, not see through inside, and no outside stitching BUT and here’s the dilemma. The second one’s canvas seems not as vibrant and the zipper isn’t as smooth.

Keep the MIF one. That’s what I have. You’ll love it. The zipper will give some as soon as you use it more or some have suggested rubbing a bit of wax paper on the metal part of the zipper to make it smoother.
Also- the stitching seems to be the big issue on these- if your stitching is great and alignment looks great, the canvas isn’t a dealbreaker for me.

Hi everyone - Just got a mono key pouch and while there is no light shinning through I notice the zipper seems like it is sticking out. I looked at my other two key pouches and apparently the zipper corners were sewn down on those but not this new one. My other key pouches are much older (and MIF) so I wasn’t sure if this is just how they are made these days or if this relates to the USA quality control issues. Thoughts appreciated!!
The new canvas looks SO DIFFERENT compared to the old canvas, the contrast between the logos and the background and the new canvas looks so much duller/matte...does it feel the same?
I would check to see if you can see light through the bottom. I had to order 4 different key pouches and they all were bad. When I got the last one, I checked with a store 1.5 hours away to have her look at it before I made the drive. That was the only one Made in France (Damier Ebene) and it's way better quality than the 4 I ordered online. However, I bought a 6 key holder online and it's beautiful.

usually my past online orders have been ok, save for a speedy I bought which had a bubbling handle which I exchanged.
This cles is MIF and I don’t see light shining through the bottom. Just not sure I’m comfy with this misalignment.
