ugh that's terrible quality control, i can't believe they still haven't fixed that problem ever since they switched to made in USA. i have MIF and it doesn't have that stitching problem or light peaking through. it also looks like the holes are stretched out because the stitching is so bad.
Current monogram key pouches that are made in USA appear to all have poor stitching.

I got tired of stalking and ended up ordering a NWT DE Key pouch on V.C. from an Italian seller.
I was nervous but once it arrived the stitching was flawless, MIF, and no light peaking through.
The LV warehouses need better quality control immediately. That stitching should not be that visible.

This is how my MIF piece looks. I don’t have the stitching problem that I’ve seen on many USA pieces. 
I recently received a key pouch DE made in France and the stitching is really nice. You can’t see it and looks clean. Also you can’t see any light. I have received the mono in the past that looked sloppy and returned. I say don’t settle until you get what you want. The price is not cheap.
I got my key pouch today- MIF and perfect!! No light shining through the bottom either. I stand corrected- I read all over this forum that light shining through the bottom was normal!!
Smoother canvas with a little brighter print on the key pouch vs the 6 key holder. It’s really nice- i got lucky!!

lIt seems like people getting shipments from the east coast were more likely to get MIF mono key pouch in the last few days. So I just called some east coast boutiques and tracked down a MIF that will be shipped to me. Just an idea for others! And if you look for boutiques in malls or department stores, you can sometimes call the mall or dept store and get transferred to the boutique. That way you don't have to wait on hold with the LV customer service call center.

I just sent one back that was MIUSA. Poor stitching with a stuck zipper. Honestly I've seen better fakes.
That how ALL Keypouches should look! And it is why it has deter me away to buy another one.
Since they are $210...I rather pay more with leather keypouch currently offered. Or I’m actually going with Prada version.
It has nothing to do with where it is made, but who makes it. I received a damier graphite MIF that I could see light through a couple weeks ago. This week I received a monogram MIF that I cannot see light through, but the zipper sticks and the corners look a little wonky.
I just bought one Monogram (MIF) and one DA (MIUSA). The Monogram one has no light showing through and the stitching is tight. The DA one has terrible stitching showing through and the light can shine through it. I will be returning the DA one.
i keep thinking of replacing my 2006 perforated cles as i've used it everyday since new, but it's iron tough and i have a new appreciation for the piping that wraps it. i'm thinking the taigarama coin/card holder would be a better buy even at the premium.
