Current Good Quality Fair Price but Little Known Recommendation Thread

Not exactly a recommendation (happy to remove the post, but just wanted to illustrate what you can possibly get for ~1k each with enough digging) as the manufacturer doesn't do online orders and ship overseas but here are some of my exotic skin clutches. Glossy crocodile lined in sheepskin. Didn't cost an arm and leg. Am adding an emerald green one soon

The only downside is that the frame is heavy (but sturdy, and apparently made in Italy). The white balance is off in all the photos but the blue is what I think of as "azure", the pink is more of a purplish fuschia, and the grey is a bit taupe-ish. Sorry I'm a bad photographer and bad at describing colours.

I love lurking on the forum to live vicariously through other people's purchases, but I can't bring myself to pay for designer anymore after buying pieces like these first hand

Stunning congrats! Would love to know the brand and other details if you don’t mind providing the info

This is the first Deadly Ponies bag I’ve purchased and I’m very happy with the quality of it. The leather is particularly good, and I think overall it’s great value for the price. All the materials are chosen because they’re recyclable and sustainable - it’s made of deerskin, lined in cert. cotton and the hardware is solid brass. I paid £430 in the sale, I think full price is about £540. All the DP bag styles are reasonably priced. Shipping (to anywhere!) is free and fast.

How about Poppy Barley ?

Two Canadian sisters in Edmonton set out to create a sustainable line.
Most of their business is shoes and boots but there are some well made, fairly priced minimalist style bags. They are made in Mexico and assure fair wages and benefits for all workers. I love my tote from them! I am seeing some gorgeous sweaters this fall from them as well.

Apologies - the manufacturer doesn't ship outside Singapore, so I didn't want to post, but if anyone is coming here, drop me a PM and I'm happy to share his shop location!

His stuff is CITES certified to my knowledge, but I didn't get a cert because I bought it in the same country.

I have multiple bags from this guy and his stuff is very well crafted. Will post pictures of more bags from him when I get a chance!

This thread has sent me down some really fun rabbit holes! I ordered this Oliveve crossbody yesterday. I love the shape and it looks so functional. Not keen on the hardware color with this blue, but I am hoping I can tolerate it given you don't really see the hardware when the bag is worn. I will post an update when I receive it.
