Oh wow. My heart broke in the video when they closed down the last factory in the UK, and the old man from demonstration went in to Burberry to get something for £20. He came out with a hair tie...

It's not surprising, unfortunately, that the quality plummets as soon as the cost of labor and craftsmenship drops...hence why I haven't strayed to Burberry (might have if it stayed truly British).
The highest quality bag in my entire purse collection is one hobo made by the local leather craftswoman; handmade from thick yet buttery-soft black leather, actual silver hardware, and lined with a suede interior. It's roughly the size and design of a Delightful MM yet has received more compliments than any of my branded purses combined...quality and originality that cannot be counterfeited.

My best leather piece is a belt, where I got to go and choose my leather, width and buckle at an Austrian belt maker in Salzburg. It came with a dust bag:) they have been there for generations.

It's places like that that truly create luxury items because they're passionate and devote the time and energy to creating high-quality one-of-a-kind pieces.

Definitely! The buckle I got first turned out to have nickel in it, and I'm allergic. So they changed it out for a gold plated one for free:) nickel free:) yah! They are so passionate like you say! Amazing!
