In the UK annual returns (at the minimum a record of a limited company's cash and assets balance, and also some information about the directors/founders) is public information. On the beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/ the "BELLA VITA MODA LTD"s annual return for last year shows that it was a dormant company. Means it didn't have any recorded business activity, which seem contradictory to this story (since the OP made her purchase at about that time).

The company's address is in Covent Garden - very posh looking post code... however, it is provided by an agency that assists in setting up limited businesses and provides them with a business address in Central London.

All sounds very dodgy, tbh.
And thanks, kookkai, for bringing it to the attention of everyone here.

Hi,

I am Thomas Hodges, an executive director of Bella Vita Moda Ltd., and the person being slandered in this thread, which in itself is libellous!

Firstly, allow me to state at the outset the the bag in question is 100% authentic and we have appraisal documentation to evidence this fact, which we will willingly produce in a court of law, if called upon to do so.

The buyer portraying herself as a victim in this thread has primarily relied on an authenticity report provided by "Real Authentication", who themselves are ambiguous and far from qualified. Just take a look at this thread which is published on this your own website: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/real-authentication-the-incompetent-one.980433/ (this being just one of numerous negative reviews). One Trustpilot reviewer writes (and I quote):

"One of the worst and incompetent service provider ever. They have no idea what they're doing. They market themselves a lot but in terms of skillset, they stand no where. There is one authentication service popping up every second and they're one of those who know nothing but want to cheat people out of their money.

Save yourself from their clutches and get a reliable service."

As I stated in my correspondence, we take such matters very seriously and where libellous allegations are made we do and will revert to legal recourse against the party concerned (not an idle threat as one member comment suggests!). As stated above, the content of this very thread is in itself libellous, but U.S. based websites such as this one rely on being able to hide behind U.S. laws to protect them from prosecution (not so in the U.K. and European Union).

Whilst commenting, I also decided to do some online research into Purse Forum/Purse Blog, and unsurprisingly the results are far from positive. Allow me to provide you with some links for reference:

https://www.complaintsboard.com/purseforum-b123131
https://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/purseforum.com
https://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/the-purse-forum-c291013.html
https://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/the-purse-forum-c392575.html

The list goes on, but what is glaringly apparent is that The Purse Forum/The Purse Blog is a highly questionable website. Thus, as an executive director of an established and totally legitimate U.K. company, operating in full compliance with U.K. laws in total transparency, am obliged to respond to an illicit post, making illicit allegations, based on the review of an illicit authenticator, all of which has been posted on a highly questionable and potentially illicit forum!

I shall now provide the relevant link together with take screen-shots of the content herein-above, to our legal advisors, albeit recourse in the U.S. is both difficult and costly, which the parties concerned know only too well!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!!

Omg this Thomas is a joke!!!

Thanks to this thread, I was about to purchase a Celine bag from this goddamn BELLA VITA MODA. They only allow bank deposit or pay through Western Union as payment options now. I guess Mr Hodges may sick of dealing with credit card refund claims so he took out the cc payment option (LMAO) So funny to see his post under this thread, what a joke hahahhaha!!

Here is what I found on companycheck.co.uk, it turns out that Chu Chiao Wang is also the direction of this company lol

Sorry to jump in on this so late. I wondered what the outcome was? I almost bought from them today until I found this thread. A 24 seriel number is much later than 2016. 2016 bags are 21. I feel you should report this to trading standards.

@carolinedm15 I don't know anything about OP's purchase place. FYI my classic flap (I purchase in Chanel
boutique's only) purchased in June 2016 was series 23. I believe series 24 began at Cruise time 2016.
And in 2017 I purchased a classic Maxi which is series 24.

Thanks for this.
I was basing it on this
https://www.yoogiscloset.com/authenticate/chanel

But your comment made me check all my Chanel bags and funny enough they don’t follow these dates either.

I was only looking to buy a Dior strap that’s no longer in the stores. But based on what I’ve read here and my gut I’ll just choose another.
Your Welcome. Yeah I just checked it at Yoogi's too and their a bit inaccurate on some years, ha. I agree, stay away from all these counterfeit place's. You get what you pay for and there is no free lunch. I hope other's learn
from this OP..

PS. I purchased a classic flap last month and we're up to series 28 now.

I had the same problem with my purchase from them and was told exactly the same thing :-(.Unfortunately its impossible to get any money back -;((..may be an attorney can help..I am actually thinking about this option now. Anyway, I reported BVM with FBI services. You can file a report online for selling counterfeited item or call them directly. Also, I left a negative review at Trustpilot, but it got removed by the website :-((..They keep only good reviews that are totally fake as their handbags. Did you leave any reviews there ? Please, let me know if you have any other ideas. Thanks a lot.!

If it makes you feel any better, I just lost almost the same amount of money buying a brand new Chanel bag that I found a couple weeks later, used, for thousands of dollars less. I lost the same amount of money as you. I have already used the bag and it’s past the return policy. I’m very sad that I overpaid so much!!

I am still reading through this thread to find out your resolution. I am sorry and I hope you are able to get your money back. Now that you know about TPF, you can get your purchases authenticated before you finalize them.

If you are so reputable, then why don’t you just let her send the bag back and give her a refund?

Did u ever get ur money back from bvm? I recently purchased a dior bag from them, and they refuse to cancel my order even it hasnt been shipped, despite its only been two days since i placed the order, please let me know if u actually got ur money back.

I thankfully didn’t buy from them. Have you contact your card company or PayPal. Maybe it’s also worth contacting Dior as they may be interested in perusing them. Chanel is usually quite hot on counterfeit companies. I’m surprised they haven’t launched action against them yet.
