I'm so sorry this happened to you .
I would call your credit card company right away! Call them right now and tell them you'd like to file a dispute. Don't wait, call today.
That's too much money to take this loss without putting up a fight IMO.
I'm so sorry this happened to you though. I'm sure you are devastated.

I had to file a dispute several times ( not over purses) and the credit card company had my back each time and made sure the issues were resolved. I would do it right away though .

Thank you so much for your support
I felt something wasn’t right since day 1 July 17th 2018 i ordered and i tried to cancel the order but they said it was already shipped and I called them on July 18th 2018 on website it was still pending awaiting fulfillment

I have contacted credit card company since then

Sorry this happened to u. The shippers address indicating Guangzhou in China should raise a red flag. Also the shoulder chain cannot be removed from the bag completely. If u paid thru PayPal or cc you might be able to dispute the charges? Is Bella vita mod in the US? If they r perhaps Some consumer protection act may help? I’m sure some fellow tpfers can give advice on recourse.

Btw I think u should cover up your personal address in the pics.

I purchase only from dept or boutique stores now as I’m worried about authenticity too.

I emailed them about the chain cannot be unattached but they said that’s how they “ repackaged product “
www.bellavitamota.com they also have facebook page post many luxury bags
On website company is in UK but it shipped from china. I questioned that as well they excused was they have store all over the world and ship from different places will avoid us custom tax fee. I said that’s illegal they way they do so .

I contacted my credit card company since i ordered. They said i had to wait until I received and get authentication.
It turned out counterfeit like i thought.

This is the last emai he threatened after i sent him authenticator

Good question.
You have a way to dispute the charge/payment depending on how you paid. I have dealt with a company that was based in China that sent me an item that was misrepresented in a US advertisement. Though it was only $200, I sent it back registered DHL mail, the whole process costing me close to $70. They refused to refund me- they said no returns. I threatened- international mail fraud, credit card fraud and alerting my state’s attorney general. Because I am multi-national, I told them I would carry my grievances to Canada and the EU, talking to all who will listen.
I got my refund.
Because of the pricetag, I suggest you find a low cost attorney that can spend an hour with you to tell you your options or write an intimidating letter to the company. Selling/buying a counterfeit handbag is a federal offense. The company has put you at risk (don’t worry, if notified usually the gov’t just takes and burns counterfeit bags), so (I believe) this company can be sued by you.
Best of luck! You will prevail- it’ll just take some work.

Thank you for your support it’s been very stressful :crybaby:

Threatening is all he can do. There is no way he can prove it isn’t counterfeit. Don’t fall for it. Even if they are dumb enough to go that route, let them. Selling counterfeits is whole another ball game. I highly doubt they would open that can of worms.

Pls proceed with dispute on your card and cancel out these noises from the seller being clear how they aren’t going to help.
ETA: is there is someone who can open a case it’s you. Reply to them saying YOU will initiate the legal route unless they credit the money back. Attach the RA certificate copy.

You have the law on your side. Great job involving your cc company.
I wouldn’t interact with the seller. They are digging in their heels and will just send threatening letters to try to scare you into letting it go.
Wait to see what your cc company does for you. I have a feeling they will back you and your card will be credited.
I highly doubt this, for lack of a better name, Jerk, will follow through with any of his threats. If he even tries to battle you, he is opening himself up to international/federal crimes (counterfeit goods and mail fraud). By sending you the correspondence you’ve shared with us, he’s implicated himself as an accessory (at least) in the crimes (and if he claims he didn’t know the bag was counterfeit, ignorance is not a defense).
He’s just trying to scare you. Don’t let him. Stay strong and know you have TPF cheerleaders backing you. :hugs:

Thank you
I did report and ask if they could help me remove pictures of my address
I was horrible situation i went through.
Director of Bella vita mota, still emailed me he will try to keep my money
Oh you're very welcome and it's my pleasure to assist in any way. I am really sorry for the way that you are being treated by this guy. It's disrespectful, ignorant and immoral to say the least. I completely understand how you feel to have gone into something with wonderful intentions only to be scammed. It happened to me recently, luckily I am in the U.S. and I was able to file a complaint against the company as they are a franchised location that operate under a major wireless carrier.

In any case I had attempted to speak to both the manager first and called again only to get his sales associate. I was treated as if I was an unintelligent woman because I have a youthful voice on the phone. I allowed him to hang himself with his own words and had him on speaker phone so that my spouse can listen in on the conversation. He was condescending, disrespectful and boasted of his expertise in sales while implying that I am incapable of understanding the words coming out of his arse.

When I was done with them in the matter of two days, I was not only given countless apologies from Verizon and a credit but I blasted them on yelp as well as google. The sales associate was transferred from the location along with his co-worker and the manager was flabbergasted by what his employee had done as well as the manner in which he spoke to me.

I am 40 years old and had to research so much in the past week in order to state my case and get the ball rolling on my own behalf. I spoke with several agents until one heard my pleas who in return push through my encounter within hours of me speaking with her. Just don't give up, you will def. find someone who will assist just keep at it.

Hope my advice gives you some solace dear. Take care and get some sleep. Maybe you can start again in the morning after a good night's rest.

You are so wonderful. I felt hopeless until i posted on purse forum. I feel so much better already .....
Thank you for so so much support .... ☺️

Thank you so so much.
I saw this company online while looking for a bag i missed out on a few seasons ago. It was very tempting as the photos look legit. Whenever I see a new website I check and see if there are any reviews. So this online store claims to be selling only authentic items. I really hate that when they try to scam people. To me just call it what it is and don't say it is authentic and charge like it is the real thing when it is not. Wishing the website will be shut down.
OP good luck and I hope you do get your money back.

Thank you so so much.
I nearly bought from them a few months ago. They had very rare items I couldn’t find anywhere. The fact he keep assuring me knowing the whole time he was going to scam me is beyond me. He also can’t claim what was sent to you because they are drop shipping. He can’t prove what the quality was of the item you received. He can’t make claims as to rather or not it is real because they had it shipped from a warehouse as he said, in Hong Kong. That’s where you will win. It did not ship from the address of the company so he can’t claim he knew for sure what you received. This was meant for me to see. Ironic I saw this post. The irony. Can’t believe my gut instinct was right. All along. Thank god you didn’t send a bank transfer. He basically collected the 3k and purchased a good quality (well so called good quality) fake, kept the rest of your money, and had the fake he purchased shipped to you. They brag authentic or your money back until you actually place the order then we see that also is not true. You will be fine. Keep these points in mind. You will get your money back.
