I am sitting here so impatiently waiting for UPS. LV apparently doesn't let you change to pick up at UPS Service Center - which seems crazy. So...delaying any plans for the day just waiting. Due by 10:30am...of course they are late not early!
Well done on making your decision. My mono Alma was my first LV in about 2000 I love my bags but I certainly did not baby it and I think it still looks great [see avatar]. It gets a lot of use and still gets a lot of compliments. I recently added my third Alma pm to my collection the magenta vernis. You will enjoy using the Alma but beware they are addictive!

So the vachetta held up well? That is my main concern. I am guessing yours does not have feet on the bottom - mine well.

You may want to consider treating the vachetta, there are a lot of threads about this, I treated my Speedy B with Apple guard and it's looking gorgeous. Do a little reading on it, to find out if this is right for you and what product to use. Enjoy your pretty bag!

Thank you! I have read some and also someone posted a video on Youtube of treating hers with Apple Guarde - so I will order that. i am not sure if available around here.
You are right mine does not have feet [or the key fob] the bottom is marked but not terribly I have enclosed a bigger picture for you to see. As I said this is 17 years old and it has had a lot of use they are like a cavern they hold so much. I do use a shoulder strap so handles are not always held but they are quite a bit. All I have ever done is wipe them over with a white cloth very occasionally.
I have never treated any of the vachetta on my bags. It is clearly up to personal preference but LV do not advise it.

Thanks...the SA I talked to said I could spray it. I am not sure she was trying to steer me either way.

I didn't realize they put bottom studs on her. That's a terrific upgrade. Lol! I think I'm going to order her too. MM though for me. Has anyone noticed any difference in the metal on the new and older Almas? I notice the hardware says golden-color metal pieces now, and not golden-color brass pieces.
