i have both and i took some comparison pictures for you...
if i had to choose one for you, it'd be the money wallet. compagnon is a little bigger but somehow the money fits more. money is definitely easier to use and more convenient, too. as you can see in the pic, it opens pretty wide to a great middle compartment. you can put a lot of stuff in there without them falling out when you open the wallet. with the compagnon, you can't really do that because when you open the wallet, it's not a compartment, it just opens all the way, like a book. so if you keep something in there, things will just fall out.
also, the coin compartment is long and opens wide on the money, which is very convenient. on the compagnon, there is a stitched line dividing the zippered section into two to make two separate, small coin compartments. but they don't open very wide at all, so it's kind of annoying. and the stitch divider makes me nervous. everytime i pull one of the coin compartments open, it feels like the stitched part will rip or something...
ok, now i've made the compagnon sound horrible. don't get me wrong, it's a nice, big wallet with lots of CC pockets. and it looks great, used alone, like a clutch. but i had the money wallet first and i was used to it before the compagnon. and honestly, as nice as it is, as a wallet, the compagnon just doesn't live up to the money wallet. but not many wallets out there do.i really love mine. if my rouge one dies, i'm going to get another one. or i may just get one now. heh heh.
ok, hope that helps some. and here are the pictures. note: i had some papers and cards in the inner pockets of the compagnon, so it looks fatter. the money had nothing in there, but it gets fatter when you stuff it.
I have and use the money wallet daily. It is very practical. I have held the compagnon but found it to be larger and slightly cumbersome IMO.
