Hey guys! After a lot of lurking around these forums, I had to join as today I ordered my very first Bal! :) Been doing research for couple years (!!!) before making the decision. Ended up getting Classic City in black, kind of basic but my closet is in a big need of a black everyday bag.

Ordered the bag from Balenciaga's official site as I had some problems with ordering from mytheresa for some reason and my country doesn't even have stores that hold new Balenciagas. I am so excited but also very nervous how everything will go. I think time will move veeery slowly from now on... ;)

Ohkay.. so my 09Raisin is just clearing customs and will shortly be on her way home to me!! Time has indeed slowed down for me too, and my heart thudding.. relief that she wasnt lost (it took so long to track the shipment) and my usual anxiety over custom procedures:nogood: But all's well now, and I shall reveal soon as I can:smile1:

Platinummouse72, I am so excited for you and ardently anticipating seeing all of your exquisite, new Bal beauties!! :graucho: I am keeping my fingers crossed and saying some prayers that they will all arrive safe and sound post haste! :D This has truly been the year of the Balenciaga for you! :smile1:

Thank you so much maroon72, how lovely to have people know exactly how much it means to me! Most of my friends don't get it at all though they humour me ha ha:D
I think my Raisin Work may arrive today, customs handed her to the delivery service after she was cleared. Will post soon as she comes home!

Hi, I'm a Balenciaga (and PF) newbie and I'm waiting on my very first Classic City with RH in the new S/S 2015 color called Blanc Creme. My sweet husband bought me the same bag except in the Beige Oryx for Christmas. I LOVE the bag but I thought the color was a little too gold-ish beige. I was looking for more of a true creamy beige so I ended up calling the SoHo store and the SA took these pictures for me. I told him I was looking for a color more like Praline and he said Blanc Creme is the closest they have. I went ahead and had him ship it to me and took the Beige Oryx back to NM where my husband bought it. I was able to see all the new colors out and along with the Blanc Creme but it had GGH. I prefer the RH style.

So he took pics of the bag alone, as well as compared to the Beige so I could really see the color difference. I'm so excited I can hardly stand myself. It shipped out today so it should be here by the end of the week!

You have a super sweet hubby to get you such an amazing x-mas gift. But you have to LOVE it...

I adore these pics of the Blanc Creme. It's gorgeous! I too like it much better than the Beige Oryx. Congrats! and please post pics when she arrives! :woohoo:

Thanks so much! Yes, he is an amazingly good gift-giver! He appreciates high quality and would rather see me with a few great pieces than a bunch of low quality stuff. Also, he feels that he's buying things for me to use now and they will all be handed down to our daughter when she is older. It was always my dream that I would one day discover an amazing rare find in my mother's closet one day but no such luck.
I will definitely post pics when my bag arrives! I've been scouring PF for suggestions on the best way to take care of it, as the light color is going to give me high blood pressure but I've told myself I will enjoy using it rather than worry too much over it.

I've been Bal-less for almost a year, and have missed having one so. So excited to be getting a 2004 Eggplant First for a graduation gift.

I'm crossing my fingers that it is as beautiful in person as it seems in the photos.
