oh fingers crossed..
I sent an item from the UK to the US on the 17th...it's still in US customs as far as I know. It's just such a pain waiting for everything to go through smoothly, unfortunately because of these delays I just can't ever see myself sending an item overseas ever again..

I think I know what you are expecting - it's worth the wait!

Yup, you may just know what I'm waiting for ;) And I'm sure it will be worth it but oh my, the fact that shipping is so fast yet customs is sooooo slow is just frustrating.

When I bought my black Hamilton a couple of months ago it was stuck in Australian customs for 10 days and then in Danish customs for 8 days.
I swear, this IS the last time I buy something from outside Europe.

Mere girl, I hope your bag will get to it's new owner really soon so you don't have to worry anymore.

I no! I'm sorry.
But then, what happened to the bag? Is it lost?

It was either lost or stolen. :storm:

I called USPS Customer Service crazily for a few days and got no answer. They said I will get a follow-up call. The only call I received was from my local office saying that they never received the package from California. Maybe when I have time I will call them again.

Just order the velo without any contact or communication made between the seller and I. Keep my finger cross it will be in good condition. Hope everything will be fine. It will be a long wait for me....

Whoa. Had to search for awhile to find this thread. No one has gotten anything since Nov 26??!

Well, I stumbled upon an oldie that I wasn't necessarily looking for, but it is certainly a goodie. I have been wanting a Courier, black/anthra/plomb from 2006 or 2007 and wasn't having any luck. I need a good work bag that I can wear crossbody. I have been using a Longchamp since I don't care if it gets wet, spilled, on, etc. I live in a large city and take public transportation everyday and this fits the bill. I was going to buy another Mansur Gavriel large tote, but then I remembered that it doesn't zipper and allows for snow, rain, etc to penetrate the bag. I decided I will only use that during the spring/summer season.

Anyway, I stumbled across a 03 Black Flat Hobo and am super excited to get it! I've never owned this style so I hope it works for a shortie like me. I am 5'2 ish. In my research, I learned that the Courier can be overwhelming on a shortie, so maybe it is good that I couldn't find one.

Congratulations, what a find :smile1: ( I hope lack of zipper won't bother you on this beauty ;) ) Can't wait to see some pictures of the oldie :smile1:

You will be authenticating, so you will definitely see pics! ;). I know this also doesn't have a zipper but it seems like it lies flat versus wide open. Crossing my fingers!

:D I have a 2002 flat brass belted hobo which doesn't have a zipper, too. It's a little bit stressful, but it's a flat bag so it hugs you ( iykwim) and it's quite safe ( I guess). I was eyeing a Flat Brass Hobo or Besace but prices are crazy. And I have to cut my spendings after I 've bought Bal jacket :blushing:
Waiting for pictures ;)

I got mine for a decent price so that is the only reason why I bought it. I really shouldn't since I haven't even finished all of my Christmas shopping! Uggh. Oooh, you have one? How do you like it? I'm nervous that it may be a little bit overwhelming for me because I am a shorties (5'2). I was definitely on the hunt for a crossbody bag, but I don't see many mods of people wearing it that way.

I barely use my. I've bought it mainly for the leather ;) I can't use it as a cross body which is annoying ( only skinny, flat chested girls can use it as a cross body bag :( )
I hope your bag will have longer strap than mine and you will be able to use it as a shoulder and cross body bag :smile1:

What a find! This is the year with the long strap (Like the 08 besace bags) and also WITH rare pewter hardware! Can't wait to see!!

^^Have you thought about the MG MINI bucket? I just got one and it's great cross body and also over the shoulder, plus the smaller size still holds a lot but doesn't feel as wide open as my larger MG bucket. (sorry O/T)

I have several Bal hobos and they can be great cross body - though I really think they look best over the shoulder. I never wear my flat hobos that way because it's so flat it's hard for me to get in and out of. You might to better since you are more petite and it will fit you differently then me. Where did you find such a deal on an 03? :roflmfao: :graucho::cool: That just never happens these days, all the hobos and older messengers seem to go for a lot now!

Great info! Thanks, beauxgoris! I'm excited to hear that it has a long strap like the besace! Maybe I will be able to wear it crossbody. I found it on The Real Real which has been getting some MAJOR stuff in these days. There isn't a lot of info on this bag so it does seem like it is pretty rare. I got it at a great price which is awesome! I have seen FB hobos going for insane prices on the bay, so I feel lucky. Pics when I get it!

I actually had a mini bucket for a brief moment in time. I had the cammello/pewter combo which is gorgeous, but the cammello color had me so scared of denim transfer, etc. I am somewhat kicking myself for returning it since it is in such demand, but in the end I don't think I would have used it.
