Finally got out and about...the roads are still bad. In front of Town Hall, Hyannis. (circa 1897)
Helmut Lang bomber jacket, MG bucket with Buster charm, Old Navy leggings and UGGS.
Comfortable!!!
Looking very chic which is hard to do when it gets so cold. I am glad you were able to get out. I remember when I lived in Boston right around this time of the year I was ready for winter to be over with.
lots of pretty pink bags here today...here's Pink Pallas...

Love this with the pink.

Wow! It's a stunner in pink! (Of course, I'm slightly partial to pink these days, but still...):giggles:
Me too. It is a happy color.
Exactly, Izzy! I think it's all a question of assembling the right outfit. There's nothing whatsoever wrong with a pink bag... it's how the bag is worn that makes all the difference. A twenty-something could wear a pink bag with a pink & white striped tank top and a pink miniskirt. A fifty-something? Not so much. (Then again, I don't know too many fifty-somethings who could carry off a tank top and a miniskirt under any circumstances!):p

At my age, hot pink is a single pop of color against the (mostly) neutrals in my wardrobe. It's fun, it's a bit frivolous, and as long as the rest of my outfit is fairly subdued, I believe I can carry it off.
Exactly.
Elaine. I used Snow-Plow weatherproofing. I use this on my saddles so I figured...what the hell. Actually I was more concerned with water spotting then scratches. I used it twice. Came out so good I used on some of my LV vachetta.

Thanks for the link. I just bought some to try on a few bags that need conditioning.
I dressed SL with scarves so that our avatars don't get mixed up
I'm not sure if I like it :thinkin:I've never done that to my bags. What do you think? :smile1:
Love it.
I love bright clothes and that 1st dress is gorgeous. Your name sounds so familiar. I "think" I bought your black GGH Bal last year on Bonz! Being that I'm in NC I remember the nascar name! :smile1:
Magjes!!!! Welcome.
Very interesting and looks so easy when they do it! LOL!

It really is easy to do. I use to do that with my Kelly before selling it. It is harder with my JPGlll since the handles are longer and takes 2 twillys to cover them.

I bet that was you! I don't remember where I sent it, but I did sell a black Bal with gold h/w. How is it doing?
I replaced it with a black metallic edge, but I don't wear it either. I don't know what it is with me and Bals. For me they need to be a littler taller. I guess I should get Velos and shorten the crossbody strap.

Thank you!
I only have a few of them.
(don't know why I didn't put the chains on them before taking picture. I was worn out as it was, though)

Great shot! I love Balenciaga Velo's. The City was my least favorite style for the reason that you mentioned. I like a little taller bag or a little longer bag like the Part-Time. I only bought one City and sold it when I started selling bags that didn't work for me. I love the crossbody strap on the Velo too. While I loved the Stam I had a hard time with the kiss lock opening of it. The osteoarthritis in my hands made it very difficult to open so I regretfully sold the ones that I had purchased. I will just have to gaze at yours.

Oh, I bet that kiss lock was painful. :(
So maybe I need a Velo. I think I like the lighter, more crinkly leather instead of the leather on the metallic edge. It just hangs nicer. My ME City is wonky.

It was super painful to try and open the kiss lock. One of the bags I couldn't even get it open. DH was a fan of that one. I couldn't get to my wallet

I think the Velo in the metallic edge is really pretty, but it also makes the bag about 1 lb heavier. I like regular Velo with the GH. Still is lightweight and it hangs beautifully.
