Collecting Tiffany & Co. charms, worth it...or not??

Stick with the silver! It's super cute (but not too juvenile) and you won't be too upset about little scratches, it should be something you feel comfortable wearing all the time but not worry about :)
Thanks. Looks like the silver charms have a lot of supporters! I guess as long as I'm careful about which ones I get and take proper care of them, they should be fun and enjoyable to wear, and not crazy expensive.

I do believe that "worth it" or "not worth it" is definitely a personal preference.

If you're slightly worried about the charms being damaged, scratched or dented... I would choose a silver bracelet. It's less of an "investment" and you're less likely to feel quite as bad when the charms begin to "show their age", so to speak?

If every little mark in the charms would bother you, however, I might choose a different piece of jewelry, as charm bracelets do tend to get banged around and have a "lived-in" look after a few years.

Can't wait to see what you decide, either way!

Thanks for your input. You guys convinced me to stick with the silver ;)
I just purchased another charm on ebay last night and I'll be selling off one I know I won't wear. I'll post a picture here when I get the bracelet back from repairs and the new charm comes in :)

I have recently brought a Tiffany link bracelet in yellow gold. I have a few gold charms that were gifted over the years as pendant necklaces...so I figure it would be a nice way to wear them out!

Thanks for posting your picture. The gold bracelet is gorgeous, best wishes with it. I have that same key charm. I wear it with the gold mini heart lock on a chain. Love it so much!

I have a cheap sterling silver Tiffany charm bracelet that DBF (who became DH) bought for me in Japan. Its a toggle one.

We like to travel overseas - gone overseas 4 times in about 3 years (that sounds fancy but we really aren't!) and every time we travel he buys me a charm at Tiffany's to remember our holiday.

So even though I know my charms are worthless monetary wise- I love them and I would never swap or sell them

i love my charm bracelet from Tiffany's. I have all sterling silver, I think that the silver would be just fine. :)
my only current issue is that I have alot of charms on mine, i know that some people might like a full bracelet, mine is sort of full but HEAVY.
I am going to split mine up into two bracelets, though i am still on the fence for that. :)
i say get the silver, and pick/receive charms that mean something to you. then it will never go out of style!

Thanks for your reply! I was hoping you'd post bc I'd seen on other threads that you were also on a quest for a T&Co bracelet with charms. Do you have a recent picture of it? Do you wear it, even though it's heavy? I assume you want the charms permanently attached and not removable?

I'm kinda annoyed at Tiffany's bc they've had my bracelet for a week now and I still haven't received the email for an estimate for the repairs. Then I know it's going to take a few weeks to receive it back from them when it's done. I don't want to purchase more pre loved charms until I know how much the repair is going to be, or if I will go through with it at all.

That's so sweet and a nice travel memento. I'd love to see a picture of it!

Whatever photo i last posted is what i have. I haven't added any more because of the weight. I do still wear it, but not as much and i know it is because of the weight. I have the charms permanently soldered, that's the safest way.
I must have missed this, what repairs are you getting done on your bracelet?
