I like the hardware on the Colette, but not the delicateness of the vitelo leather.

Good grief! Send it back or take it in to Macy's if there is one near you. They are very good about doing returns. I don't know what's wrong with them lately, but here have MANY complaints about their shipping! However, you are right. That is NOT just from shipping. This bag looks to have been used for a week or two and then returned. Unreal!
I prefer the Collette. It looks to be better structured than the Coach. The Coach is too floppy. The Colette even has prettier hardware and love the outer pocket on it. If they had a black one with silver hardware, I'd have one already. Gorgeous bag!
I would say the swagger as I am eyeballing one right now. I like the way the thick strap feels when you use it on your shoulder. Love the zipper closure, hardware details and the leather feels indestructible.

I live in Canada, we don't have Macy's here
.. however I did contact Customer Service, the girl was really really nice and very apologetic. She said she also carries a Michael Kors bag and knows for a fact that isnot how a brand new purse should be wrapped. She said they did have the black one in stock (thank goodness) and will send me a new one right away! Hopefully this one is in excellent condition. It takes about 2 weeks for it to be shipped to Canada, so basically Im waiting close to a month to use this bag!
Oh nooo, sorry to hear that! That was my fear too, that they wouldn't have this colour in stock any more as it was almost 50% off the retail price when I ordered it. Thankfully she said they did have it and she made sure its "brand new".. we shall see!
That is terrible!! The fact that they grab the first bag they see.. yikes! I think all orders made through their website should come from the warehouse. I mean for people like me who live in Canada, we dont have a Macy's store here.. so we already have to wait close to 2 weeks to receive it, and if they screw up and we have to return it, it takes another 2 weeks to get the new one. It's just ridiculous and I know not to ever order from them again lol
I am sending it back today! I called customer service and the girl was really nice and thank goodness they had a black one in stock, I love the black. Its torture to have this beautiful baby IN MY HANDS, but not being able to use it as I have to return it and wait for the new one
Thank you! I've been playing around with both bags all day to see which one I like better and I think I am leaning towards the swagger. The pebbled leather is just really something else and I am more of a casual dresser so I think it should work with my wardrobe. I will take mod shots tomorrow!
My sentiments exactly. The pebbled leather is what drew me to the swagger. Plus it's been years since I've purchased a Coach bag and the quality is out of this world.
Yes I agree the outer pocket and also the hidden pocket up top is so functional. The colette is def more structured, and I like that about that..it's very luxurious looking. Black with silver HW would look veryyyy sexy!

I know what you mean about the strap..it's thick and substantial, and i like how it attaches to the sides of the bag. The leather is to die for! Before purchasing this bag I didn't know how well made it was. It has some weight to it with all the hardware but I can tell it will take a long time before this thing breaks down (if ever).

I just browsed through the entire swagger clubhouse thread. Darn it!!! Now, I want one. The bag is gorgeous. It was hard to see the details in the black bag but the leather just looks scrumptious. I am changing my vote. I say return the Colette and keep the Swagger....
I have the large Colette in Chili and two Swaggers...the patchwork blue and the ginger colorblock. I actually prefer the Swagger, but I'm not about to dump my Colette. It's a beautiful bag.
Wow, I'm so sorry they sent you a damaged bag in a flimsy box. I've had similar problems with Macy's. Sometimes they pack my goods very well and other times, they'll jam an expensive purse in a bag and ship it. I would definitely return that Colette and gripe about the poor shipping. Hopefully they'll replace it with a brand new one, packed right.

UPS will deliver my ginger colorblock Swagger on Friday. I'll post a pic as soon as I get it. I get a lot of compliments on my patchwork Swagger. I love it!
I bought the Colette from Macy's sale online and mine was wrapped up in a huge box. All stuffed and everything was covered in paper. That's really ridiculous they sent that!! How could someone seriously put that in a box thinking that's acceptable. Wow.
