I use Apple Brand leather proector on all my LV bags. I reapply every 2 to 3 months. It doesn't affect the patina process but it does protect from water or liquid spots.

I’ve been considering doing this as I want a mono NF but freaked that the straps look almost black after years of use. I may get it and spray then get the leather replaced every few years. Ah were so scared doing it? I just got my neverfull mm and don’t know wether to do it now or wait until it breaks in a bit. I haven’t seen too many bad stories.another newbie question
do you reapply your Apple Guard? I treated my PM with it right after I brought it home, but I am not sure whether this needs to be reapplied and, if yes, how often?
Have you really had it in the rain or anything and it’s made a difference? I have been using it since before the Purseforum existed. Before tPF there was MyPoupette, an authentication, reference website for LV .... in 2004, they recommended Applegard. I've been using ever since. I use the lotion conditioner, not the spray. I use a very small amount.Does anyone who used Apple garde 2-3 years ago have an updates? I’d love to see more of your beautiful bags and how they’re holding up now.
I think the recommendation by LV is to leave it alone. However, I had not heard it could cause cracking. I use it and have not had any issues.I purchased the PA back in December but have not taken it out the house yet. I obviously want to protect the strap and the little tab on it. I see everyone saying to use Applegard but the SA at LV told me not to use it. She said that it could actually cause cracking on the vachetta. Has anyone heard this before or did I just get a bad SA? Does anyone no treat their vachetta?
