Coach's Changing Terminology for FP Delete Bags

The Glovetanned Turnlock Crossbody (FP delete) I bought came wrapped to the 9’s. Everything wrapped and with the dustbag. It’s as if the store shipped right to Jax and they never touched before they shipped to me. I was super impressed (and surprised). We’ve all had our mess of a bag delivered during FOS. [emoji53]

Received my MFF Wristlet 19, which is made exactly like the FP Nolita 19. Pebbled leather feels the same. Looks and feels exactly like the FP one, but a lot less expensive . I’m fine with it. Color and price works for me. Maybe I’m less bothered about it being MFF due to the fact that it’s a SLG.

But on a different turn, the MFF Isla was the only Coach pebbled camera bag recently. Excluding KH, just referring to the basic pebbled leather camera bag. Then FP created their version of the pebbled leather bag after the Isla was out. And now Coach has a quilted version, and now MFF has one.

Oh Coach. *sigh*. You’re exhausting. lol

I went to the outlet tonight to return my washed red/chalk dinky with the 1941 tag and the MFF creed number - I saw many dinkys still there - this time they were not on the same shelf as the boutique bags - I told the SA I was returning because I believed this dinky was not a boutique bag and she told me it was the same exact bag as the boutique dinky with a "F" creed number on it - it was almost like she was reading the posts on here -

So true. Remember all the saddle bags? 1941 saddle, 1941saddle 23, department store saddle and department store tiny saddle (17?) then MFF saddle in a bunch of sizes. Geesh.

You'd buy at the boutique if you want to have the bag now in the color you want vs. months later taking the chance it shows up at outlet.

I have done that, my oxblood Rogue I am wearing right now is my only full priced 1941 bag. It was a gift, so I don't feel as guilty, because I don't pay full price for anything most of the time

I hear ya. In all the years, I've only paid full price for 2 bags - the tea rose camera bag in royal and the quilted rainbow rivets camera bag. Of course their retail is less than some of the bags I have after all the discounts, but it's still hard to pay full price for anything. I do gets lots of use out of the camera bags so I don't feel too guilty either.

It seems like my full price payment for that Rogue put me in some sort of upper echelon so that's a benefit. I get invited to all the private events so that helped fund other 1941 purchases at a nice discount. So plus for Coach, not always a plus for my bank account, lol!

I think as long as you love the bag and will use it then pay what you feel comfortable with, even if it is full price. If you’re going to be upset down the road because it might be marked down significantly and end up at the outlets then you’re better off waiting and taking your chances. Everyone is different. I like a deal or a sale so in general I wait. The exception being some smaller items that were part of a limited release.

Just an FYI, @b_c1 posted photos of the 1941 bags at her outlet yesterday and she checked all of the Dinky bags on display. Some of them had the F style numbers and some did not; so it may be possible to find a Dinky that you like on sale and with the original style number - she didn't mention dustbags, see the link below:

I've only paid full price once, a black Kristin Hippie. I used it until last year, then gave it to my Mom. I found another one, in a thrift store, and used that until very recently. It exited the closet today along with one MFF bag ( I'm now down to only 1 MFF bag, and the 2 wristlets/wallets).

So the colorblock Dinky's listed on FOS seem to use the boutique stock photos, so I still think they were all originally intended for the boutique. The MFF bags are never pictured on a real person as far as I can tell.

Also wow, I wish the outlets near me had that selection! drooling...

I am having so much anxiety over purchasing the new oxblood rivets Rogue for 30% off. It was still $600 with the discount and I haven't paid over $400 for a bag before. I am wondering if I should return it and see if the Rogues are being discontinued and will be 50% off during the holiday sale or keep it because I love it and try not to stress???!!! It just seems odd the Rogues were included in the sale this time when normally they are not. Any suggestions?? Not sure how happy my SA will be if I return

Rogues have been included in previous sales. There are no guarantees the rivets Rogue would be included in the SAS, but it's possible. It just depends on if you want to carry it now or wait to see if you can get a better price later. If you're having a lot of anxiety over the price I suggest you return it.

Don't worry about how your SA will feel. If you feel anxious, you might not be able to enjoy your bag. Imagine if you couldn't find it for a bigger discount later. How disappointed would you feel? Would you be okay to get another Rogue in a different color if that one were 50% off but not the one you got?

Those are really good points to think about! I love the color and rivets, but can’t decide if I will feel guilty and end up trying to sell later on if I keep it. I am really bad about making a decision and then obsessing about the decision I made[emoji30]. I haven’t used it yet and have about 10 more days to make a decision whether to keep or return.
