I keep mulling those totes over but can't bring myself to pull the trigger yet...

I hear you! The pink one is stunning, although it looks more like Beechwood to me.

I just pulled the trigger on the Black Wristlet 30, the Larger one. I spent about an hour justifying to myself that I couldn't pass it up since it may not be around long. What REALLY convinced me was that those tiny flower pieces are made of metallic LEATHER! They designed the leather to give the illusion of sequins!! After reading that and zooming in on the images, my wallet started crying! :giggle:

I think $395 is reasonable for a glovetanned leather, metallic leather embellished, size 30 Wristlet. I think it's about 9.5 by 11.5 inches (a tad larger than a sheet of paper). Fits my iPad too, but won't be using it for that.

Hope I'm not enabling you?!

I just posted pic above -- those are actually metallic leather pieces, not real sequins! I'm just amazed at the detailed crafting and hand work involved!

I can't wait to see it! The pieces do look really intricate. I know the prices seem high for Coach prices, but when comparing these pieces with premier designers, they're well below what I'd expect for the materials and the level of intricacy they have.

This $395 wristlet doesn't seem that high for Coach...not the 30 size. Also the Totes are around the Rogue Tote price range, aren't they? The leather apparel is on another planet, price wise!

And "intricate" is the word I was looking for, thx!

Btw, you made a good point about the premier designer prices for this level of intricacy, working with metallic dyed leather, to boot! This is "underpriced" by THOSE standards! Ssshhh - let's not give Coach any ideas!

That's what I'm saying!! Until I read their detailed description I had no idea that was leather! I wonder if others are not aware either...when I zoomed in on the pics, I almost fainted!! :faint:

Maybe I should keep quiet -- don't want to end up getting a cancellation notice due to a sudden demand of their entire inventory

The thing that's holding me back from the tote is that I think it looks way better in the pink... But I just do not LIKE pink! The Black version looks a little blah in comparison. I wish they did a contrast coloured lining with it.

The leather sequin items are absolutely stunning works of art -- congrats on your purchase! I was thinking about the Courier as I love the size and shape, but I'm just not a very embellished kind of person so I don't know how often I'd use it...

Okay, I just went back to check out the Pink Tote again and I'll give you my honest assessment: upon second viewing it DOES look more Pink-ish than Beechwood, but there's something about that shade of Pink that doesn't scream "Pink" to me. I happen to love pink, but if I was looking for a pink bag, this one would not be pink enough for me, make sense? From MY perspective, it's ALMOST a neutral color, like Beechwood would be, especially if you add charms or something to neutralize it -- but you shouldn't have to work too hard to disguise the color either, that defeats the purpose of enjoying and showing off your bag. Since I got my Rogue Tote not too long ago, I'm not in the market yet for a new tote -- otherwise I'd consider the pink one -- I love the unique-ness of it.

Good luck deciding.

And I agree about the Black -- it's neither here nor there -- nothing special.

I know right! It should be more comfy to wear too. Those sequins can get pretty scratchy.

I felt that way too when I was looking at the photos, but now feel totally opposite once I saw them in person - the black looks stunning while the pink looks blah.

I think the pricing is in line with what it should be for these bags. Wish I could spend the money for the Courier, but it is not an everyday bag like the Rogue is.

It's definitely in line with 1941 pricing. I know many lament the price increases and structure since Vevers took over, though, so this just continues the trend. That said, I'd be hard-pressed to find anything of comparable quality and detail without adding a digit to the price tag somewhere.

So you think the Pink Tote looks blah but the Black one is stunning, IRL? Interesting, good to know.

PS. Are you referring to the Totes only?
