Coach will probably alwasy come first for me, but I do like Dooney also. There are some Dooney bags that I don't like, but some of their stuff is very classy and I love it. Here's a pic of my Dooney purse I had bought recently (I returned the brown one and now only have the green one). This is their glove leather line. The leather is super soft.

Dooney was my first big purchase, but over the years it seems as if some of their newest stuff is targeting the teen group and I'm just not a fan. But my mom still is!

i was looking at the green one. i really do like that style. i also liked the red suede in that style.

For me, it always depends on the individual bag. I don't personally own any Dooney or Coach at the moment but I have bought both for gifting in the past (this Christmas I am giving 2 Dooney bags and 2 Coach bags). For me personally, there are very few brands where I can say I love all bags from that designer. In general, I don't like Dooney or Coach (or any other brand for that matter) where the logo is splashed all over the bag but I like most of the other styles of both. I really really wish they would make more of both brands with less logos involved since I frequently like most other things about both (except the ones obviously geared for a younger audience are not for me). I heard a woman in an NYC department store explain it best the other day as the SA was trying to convince her to buy a pair of Gucci sunglasses on sale with a gimongous G on the side. The woman explained, "In this city, the bigger the label, the more likely people are to think you got it in Chinatown so do you have anything more subtle?"

i think it's unfair to say dooney doesn't make anything nice...because, they really do. some of their leathers are really great.

and, you know, i never understood why people are so quick to diss dooney's multicolor...but think lv's is so great...

I totally agree. And anyone carrying a murakami bag now just needs to lay it to rest.
